Following one of our regular Friday meanders around the country lanes with my dear old Dad, we ended up here at the Shaw Farm and was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were absolutely fabulous and we were served by a lady called Karina and when I told her about my dad and the fact that he was in a wheelchair, nothing was too much trouble and she was so very helpful. The first thing she did was to sort at a table near the access toilet, and to those with elderly parents, they will appreciate the importance of this, especially if the parents are in a wheelchair. The food was most satisfactory, especially the Eton Mess with fresh blackberries (that was a triumph), the restaurant itself was clean and comfortable with a pleasant ambience and, as I say, the staff were very friendly and the service was second to none. All in all, we had a thoroughly pleasant Friday lunchtime.

Not enjoyable at all bank holiday Monday and the place is very quiet now I know why . Starters: not king prawns and no mango in the mango and king prawn cocktail. The fish was not cod regardless of the waitress insisting it was. Sent mains back as the cold chips were French fries and not triple cooked as per the menu. No garlic prawns on the platter for two. Hard undercooked chips. Burgers were dry and tasteless. Disappointed to say the least. We were told by our waitress that the chefs are exhausted due to the bank holiday and had been forgetting to put food on the plates. No excuses everyday should be treated as a new day. The table behind us had garlic prawns also left off their sharing plate and the ladies in the corner left their steaks as it was inedible.

We just left Shaw Farm after a fantastic meal. Excellent food, service and hospitality - especially from the amazing and hard working Natasha who went over and above to ensure we had a great experience. Great choice on the menu; our three young kids ate so well which I think was helped by the warm and relaxed atmosphere. Lovely beer garden, clean facilities. We would highly recommend.

This was the 2nd week in a row visiting Shaw Farm for a meal. Both times the food has been delicious and the service fantastic. Fish and chips were delicious, and the desserts were great. I highly recommend the Black Forest chocolate pot dessert which my mate had. Very imaginative!

Whats a disappointment. Went here as a off the cuff treat for my partner. What a waste of a beautiful building. The poor bar man wasn't completely under manned with the wait times for just getting a drink was 15 mins... which was then told they had no menus available. Which we quickly found the menus online. Ordered 2 burgers and 1 beer and a wine for Β£42.00 which I thought was steep but I thought good quality food cost.. however waited 45 mins for a cold dry burger and a few chips. The menu stated it was filled with bacon, brisket and relish of which both had none... made the barman aware, of which we asked if he would like to retrieve the missing ingredients for us.. sorry no its not build your own burger join.. already had to drink from 2 dirty glasses. I mean really!

Delicious food and friendly staffI had the chicken pie it was absolutely huge with spring onion mash which I never thought of before but it tasted amazing, and my other half had the fish n chips which in his words was the best he had in ages. The staff were lovely and really friendly and we got chatting to them for a while as we have only recently moved to the area so one of the waitresses told us about all the lovely walks around here. Thank you for a lovely meal we will be back

Fantastic service π Sunday roast was lovely. Dog friendly and great food all the service staff were fantastic π Would highly recommend. And if you are like me and take your pooches everywhere this is the place to go, they supply dog treats water and even offered dog beds.5 Star food and service.

Staff were great. Food was cold and had to go back. This applied to another table so 5 meals went back to be refired! Such a shame. The steak was chewy as well so all in all, not the best meal we've had. The team were very apologetic and offered other meals. The chef needs a retrain though in my opinion. Check the food is good quality, check the food is hot and get the food off the line asap. We'll go back to see if anything has changed because as said, the staff made it better! π

Visited with my husband, 4 friends & our puppy. We were all made comfortable & the service was good.We all had meals, two courses, mains & pudding & everyone thoroughly enjoyed them.2 had steaks, 2 had beef , 1 pork belly & the other person had salmon. The meals were served piping hot & were all delicious. For second course we had sticky toffee puddings, with custard, a crumble packed with fruit & custard, one person had ice cream with sauce topping & a wafer. Again all were served hot, with the exception of the ice cream of course, & all were delicious. Our puppy was made very welcome with plenty of water, bowls & poo bags available. Also, which was a very nice touch there was a lot of doggy mats for our four legged friends to lay on.All in all this was probably the best meal & price we have had out for a very long time. Will definitely visit again.
