Excellent breakfast and gluten free options available. Really friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. Not sure if dogs are allowed inside but we sat outside and our dog was given treats and fresh water. Will certainly return!

What a great little place a client picked to have our meeting at, in a great way it felt like going back 30 years, really felt like we was having tea at your nans house. Was nice and quite to have our meeting and food.Nice staff and very good coffee.

Went there today with 4 friends for chats as me have Bacon, Cheese and Mushroom Baguette with a big pot of tea.Taste of baguette is so fantastic! and tea taste freshly!Notice many of people went in café as it seem popular at City of Chelmsford.Inside the room is "vintage" and "collective" plus staffs seem great for their customer what they need.Price:- not too bad because taste is exactly match. Will going back again for another one!I would recommended for any people go in Small Talk Tearooms and Gifts10 out of 10

So glad we popped in... gorgeously decorated, friendly staff, yummy food, clean and spacious too. We had a very enjoyable lunch, our first visit. Having just driven from London.Prices so reasonable too, with good quality food. Huge teapot... lovely oldie woldie experience.✨ Would definitely recommend.

Visited Small Talk Chelmsford with my friend today for lunch. Food was nice and the coffee was good. However, unfortunately, we found the front of house service somewhat lacking.. when we arrived, we had to wait a short time for a table, no problem for us except that no one acknowledged us at all, waitresses walked right next to us but not even a hello. They were less than attentive when we were sat at the table too. One particular waitress was particularly unfriendly and we both felt she was almost annoyed with us! A shame as apart from this issue, the place is nice.

A hidden gem and a rare find in Chelmsford. The place is very quaint and feels like your grandma’s living room.

What a wonderful experience, the atmosphere makes you feel like you’re at your grandmothers house. Staff were friendly, food was delicious and the tea and cake were great.Amazing little gem in Romford, so glad we found it.
