Springfield Garden Centre Restaurant in Chelmsford

Disappointed. Our previous experience was 5 star but I think management has changed since. We could see that food quality and service has gone down. Food they served was not hot.Not worth the money at all. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Third visit…. Nice food. Service could be improved, one glass of wine!!! No one comes to the table. Asking twice for a glass for the water! Will not be returning as three times is the max.

I will give a 4 stars only because of the rudest waiter ever.I always come here to eat and the food, atmosphere and staff are always extra nice. I don't like lamb and I always ask to have my chicken cooked separately and they always understand and deliver the yummiest food.However, last night I was so disappointed to see they hired a new waiter that was super rude to my table. I asked for the chicken to be cooked separately as I always do and he said no, then we asked when our food was coming (we were waiting for 1 hour) and he replied "it's busy" instead of checking on our food. It was sad to see this since the owners are always extremely nice and treat us with respect. The food was however great and drinks too!

Went here for lunch today and I was delighted with the service and the quality of food was amazing.The resturant itself is clean and fresh and well decorated. We were served promptly and they were very polite and welcoming.The lunch menu includes a starters and a mains for £11.95. I ordered the calamari for starters, it was fresh, not chewing, garnished well and cooked to perfection. For mains i ordered the lamb moussaka (which comes with rice) and it was delicious. Overall I cannot fault this resturant, i rate it a 9/10 because the only downside for accessibility reasons, is that, the resturant has no onsite parking, but I parked in the retail park (2hours free) which is only a five minute walk down the road and across the traffic lights. Would definately recommend this place for lunch.

What a disappointing experience we had here Saturday. It was our first time and it will be our last time. The food was nice but the service was rude. We got out starter plates cleared away while we were still eating, the main course didn't arrive at the same time for all our party. One of us had to wait for 5-10 minutes for it to arrive. We were left holding our cutlery that we had our starter with because they took our plates away and told us to keep hold of the cutlery. Even though they were so keen to clean our starter no one came to clean our main plates . Disappointing.Reply to your response: we have paid for that bottle of wine it was nothing complementary. It was nice to start with but then everything went downhill...you walked away from us when you came to take our order because we asked you to take a picture, you banged the bread on the table, your attitude was not nice and we still tried to make the best of a bad experience and if I am not wrong you still added a £14 service charge to our bill which we paid even though the service was bad...

We had a late lunch, sharing the cold meze and then enjoying the moussaka and falafels, finishing with baklava and Turkish tea. It was all *absolutely* delicious, and the place has a nice atmosphere. They were happy to swap one of the sharing items to a veggie one, which was kind of them. If we weren't relocating soon I'd be back for more!

We had a wonderful meal at Mosaic on Sunday. Staff are lovely, welcoming and efficient, nice decor, (I loved the coloured glass lampshades). The food was fabulous, tasty, artistically presented generous portions, including vegetarian options for my partner. The restaurant is a lot bigger than it looks from the front, so there are plenty of tables so we didn't feel at all rushed. A thoroughly 5 star experience. Thank you everyone at Mosaic, we will definitely be back to dine with you again. I think we have just found our new favourite Chelmsford restaurant!

Very good experience. Nice staff, place with a great decoration. The food was superb. I should have left a much higher tip. But I expect to return. This time witha group of friends in a busy day of the week to see if I notice any difference.
