The Fish Shop in Chelmsford

have always eaten from here but lately the quality has gone down hill. plus twice we have had fish recently where we have not been able to get rid of the smell of the fish .very strange smell to the fish. sorry wont be going back

its a reasonable chip shop could be better if the if the battered fish wasn't so soggy

Sadly, extra large cod was very greasy and the batter was totally raw and disgusting, see photos, the fish was somewhat on the sloppy side. My wife's large cod had a crispy but also greasy batter but the fish was nice and firm

My wife and I really enjoyed the fish and chips here. We had travelled down from East Yorkshire to take our son back to University and the staff were friendly - they made us both a cup of tea, lovely! The fish was fresh and delicious, the batter crunchy, not soggy and the chips hot and delicious . Very highly recommended.
