Situated in the small rural area, just off of galleywood road. Theres lots of parking here, spacious interior with plenty of seating available inside and out.The children have a play area inside and outside to keep them occupied whilst waiting for food (Which can be quite a wait at busy periods, so be prepared). The interior definately needs renewing updating but the staff are friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is that of your local friendly pub.I wasnt impressed by the food, but i didnt expect to be, you get what you pay for. Just stick to the safe foods, that you cant really cook badly (avoid the steak if you don't want jaw ache) and wash it down with a few pints 🙂But there is a good selection of foods for both children and adults. It's great for children who prefer their oven meals and are not too fussy how it's cooked, besides they probably build up more of an appetite playing beforehand, that they don't question it.I must admit I would feel comfortable bringing my adhd/asd children here, as no one would really question there behavior and I don't feel like it's the sort of place you would get embarrassed by their literal comments. And aslong as the kids are happy, that's all that matters. To sum it up, It's what you expect from a hungry horse pub really, cheap and cheerful and you get what you pay for. The food is mediocre at best, but if your not too concerned about what you put in your mouth and are looking for a laid back dinning experience to keep the kids happy, it's worth a visit 👍

Great selection on the children's menu and a lovely sized indoor play area. Gets very busy but the staff are amazing and always a delight to visit the barn. A special shout out to Cat, Stacy & Sophie for delivering top notch service. Also a big shout out to Owen the chef for cooking our food to perfection! We can't wait to visit again!

My husband and I took my father here , the building is very pleasant, and we all looked forward to our lunch .The first few minutes were a bit of a mess as no one bothered to serve me despite me standing at the bar waiting for our drinks . Which is the height of rudeness when two people were actually behind the bar !We ordered our food which was very good, but onion rings as starter came out with main meal .Dad's steak was tough ,but staff changed it for another without question and we had a very good value and substantial mealIf we have a criticism, it is the staffs lack of attention ..otherwise a good little place

Fab food, tasty burgers & great value for money! Can't get food at that price and good quality anywhere else. One of our favourite family restaurants to eat at and staff are always so smiley and helpful. Can't fault them at all.

Glad I chose the Lasagna, couldn't have coped with the alternative plate fulls. Value for money, prompt service and tasty food. Kids menu came in handy when it came to downsizing my Dessert choice.

Sorry to report VERY POOR at this visit.7 of us chose to go there Monday evening to celebrate my daughters 16th Birthday. Lovely looking building and 1st impressions were good. Also as a bonus for me it was nice to see some good beers on tap. The large restaurant was not even 10% full and we were put at a table at the back. Menus were wet and sticky, Starters were to Hungry Horse expected standard. We waited a long time for the main meal to arrive. The food was appalling. Nothing was fresh. Chips were obviously cooked hours before. The veggie food was pretty much inedible. The green burger, mexican enchiladas were dried out. I am NOT exaggerating when I say that my daughter could not even cut into her food with a knife! When the waitress (who was also the manager) replaced the meal it hadn't really improved and still could not cut into it even, let alone eat it. I don't know had she had the audacity to put such poor quality meals on our table and expect us to eat them. Nobody finished their meals and it was quite upsetting. We were offered vouchers to the value of the main course to come back again, but so disappointed will definitely not be. I feel rotten that my daughter had a spoilt evening and I lost sleep over it.

A large free car park not quite a typical hungry horse as it is in a listed building and the character comes through in the hole ambience of the pub.The food is always good value for money the menu choice is back up to what it would be pre-covid.The staff was very professional and attentive found them polite and professional we will be returning in the new year

Large car park. Plenty of dining tables. Family friendly. Good value and tasty food, as you would expect from a Green King. Minor issue with one of our meals, which was quickly rectified by the excellent staff. Thank you.

Great Baddow Barn is a hungry horse pub, so of you've been there you know what to expect of the food. It's quick, tasty and large portions. The menu is quote varied and it has the drinks you'd expect.Where this restaurant is different is the location. The barn itself is lovely, and very well kept architecturally. It also has a great play area outside and ample seating. Definitely worth a visit if you fancy a prompt meal, and a lovely location.
