After a mix up with the booking the staff were great in finding us a table and the food was very good. Definitely a place I will be going back to. Only down side is no car park.

We turned up today without a booking but Michelle found us a table luckily. Thank you 🙏The food was superb as usual. Ham Egg and Chips and Katsu curry for us. The sausage roll for starter was amazzzzing. Like pulled pork. Mmmmmmmm 👌The Hoop is by far the best pub near Billericay.

Staff were attentive and food choice was good. They were prepared to adjust the menu if requested. Portions were good and beautifully cooked. I found the lighting rather dim and it took a while to adjust to. Parking was quite difficult. Prices were reasonable. Enjoyed the visit.

We were a table of twelve and everyone enjoyed their food. Staff very friendly. Busy area though and parking a bit of a problem.

Had a lovely lunch here today. Started with delicious fresh bread and butter which you could tell was fresh! I had the burger for mains which came with 2 patties, I had to take one out it was so big! Although, I was also jealous of my friends toad in the hole which I would if had if I didn't have sausages for dinner the previous night! I will definitely be back to try more dishes! Me and my 2 friends work in a restaurant, they are both chefs, I FOH, we all enjoyed our meals and service, thank you, we shall definitely be revisiting.

What an amazing find!!Wanted a dog friendly place to celebrate a birthday and still be able to take the puppy with us.The staff here could not be any more accommodating with regard to the dog, a bowl of water before we even got asked for a drink!! Lol.The food was excellent! Quick serving, fresh and hot, and absolutely delicious!!Scallops to start with, beef medallions with creamy mash, and apple and blackberry crumble with ice cream and custard. Now if you worried about dog hair in your food, there is an area that is dogs only so that they don't affect others. Can't wait to go back for more.

Picturesque setting of the antique village of Stock. Stopped for a beer and sat in the garden, table service was a bit slow but a waitress did tell us they were under staffed.Looking forward to going back to try the restaurant.

The only thing this place has against it is the lack of parking. If you're unlucky enough not to get a space directly outside the pub you're in for a short walk from the nearest place you can find. This isn't an issue for most but we were with elderly people and wasn't ideal.Once at the venue you'll find a very covid aware place to eat and drink with ample sanitisation for all.The table service is fast and efficient and the food is of a very high quality. All the waiting staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and are confident in their opinion of the food. The portion size is fair and is well cooked so no complaints there however drinks seem slightly over priced with Guinness for example £5 a pint where's my local £4.50 so not to bad.The outside seating is easily accessible to the disabled so that's a bonus.Overall this is a place I would visit again as I know the food is of a very good standard.
