Small quant pub in Chelmsford, Dog friendly, good choice of beers. Sunday lunch was very nice. Rugby pub, good atmosphere.

Traditional pub with large variety of Beers and Ales. It is a place you can get some talking done and is relaxed. Think it offers food as well (classic pub fare) but at time of writing can only comment on how lovely the staff, atmosphere and drinks are. It's a great local drinker if that is your thing. Aiming to visit more often!

Cracking pub with good range of ales and beers. Now has a decent "pub garden" at the rear with large covered areas for those who prefer the fresh air. Friendly staff and crowd, can get busy when Essex CC play a T20 match. Conversely it's great if you fancy a beer after a T20 match!

My first visit and very impressed. A beer drinkers paradise with an excellent array of beers and ciders on tap. Even though I don't drink alcohol they found me a great non-alcoholic lager to enjoy. Great atmosphere.

Visited Saturday lunchtime. Seven or eight real ales available, knowledgeable staff and excellent condition of the beers. Staff also were very attentive,coming to the table before glasses were empty, taking orders and delivering fresh drinks to the table.

Nice beer and great service.. Always busy when I go in. Person who runs it has run several of my favourite pubs in the past. Big TV on one side of the pub of you like football

As an ale drinker this is about as good as it gets. A wide selection of beers, local and from farther away always available and always in great condition. Nice selection of food too. Worth a visit when in Chelmsford. 👍😊🍺
