Paul is probably the best barmen I’ve come across - a great pub with a great team - Paul runs it perfectly

Food was great. I had a really tasty burger. My wife really enjoyed her Steak sandwich.

Quite a nice little bar unfortunately the food was literally all sold out when I was ordering on my visit had a few pizzas to choose from didn't have what we all wanted on the menu and if I want pizza I go to a pizza restaurant. Otherwise good location and fairly clean and tidy friendly bar staff

We found The Plough by chance when we pulled off the A12 to look for somewhere for lunch. The food was excellent, staff friendly and efficient, and the pub has outside space to eat and drink if you wish to. What a great find 😊.

Nice enough pub, staff are fine but hard to give a higher score due to expensiveness of the alcohol. By no means the most expensive and its a trend everywhere post covid. Food prices are actually very reasonable. In some ways its cheaper to buy a meal than a pint. Can't really justify coming here regularly when an average pint (non premium) is pushing £5 (Paid £4.75)

Many years since I was last here. It has been taken over by a new ownership & I was impressed with the choice of decor. Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good value.

This is our local :) Great pub with a friendly atmosphere (I like Sam, she's so professional and friendly!) It's recently been refurbished which makes it nice and modern while still keeping some aspects of the traditional pub. The beer garden is very pleasant with a screen, if people want to watch sport. Very reasonable prices, the food is good too and good service. I've been there countless times and was never disappointed. Maybe the only downside to it might be that there aren't many choices for desserts but that's my sweet tooth talking here ;) Good selection of drinks, friendly crowd going, so ideal place to go relax and have a drink or two. I recommend!

Great British pub serving good classic beers and pub food. Nice outside garden and a big tv to watch the matches. Less than 30 seconds from chelmsford train station
