A great local pub, with pub food and friendly staff. Plenty of tables and a very comfortable atmosphere. Definitely worth going to if you are looking for a casual, traditional, local pub.

Certainly one of the best pub meals I have had. I had the liver and bacon which was cooked perfectly. My wife had the fish and chips, the portion was very good and the fish was really tasty.The service was really efficient and very friendly, without being intrusive.This could become my favourite place to eat. I highly recommend you try it.

An absolute gem of a pub, from the off the staff were lovely, friendly and polite. The food was second to none, excellent portions and very good prices, beer was spot on also. A cracking little pub and highly recommended. Will definitely be back again. Many thanks for a first class experience 👍👍👍

Just got back from a meal tonight. Great pub good amposhire and very nice staff. We came just to have cod and chips with musey peas. Best fish and chips we have ever had. Was looking at what other people were eating and wow the food is so good well done to the chef. Keep it up as your really good at what you do. Good local pub stroke restaurant.

Lovely lively little pub with separate dining areas. Really lovely staff & wonderful food. Toilets sparkingly clean! 1st time visit Definitely going again!

Really friendly staff and a lovely cosy atmosphere. We called them 10 minutes before they stopped serving food at lunchtime and said we were 8 minutes away. They said it wasn't a problem, they would wait for us and when we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and a table had been laid ready for us. The food was absolutely delicious too, hearty and filling.

Really cosie little pub with lovely staff and the Sunday roast was amazing definitely should have got the mixed roast but nevertheless beef was amazing.

I have visited a few times now, and I can honestly say I have finally found THE BEST place for a Sunday roast in Chelmsford. The pub is cosy and clean, team are so friendly and the lunch on each occasion I have visited has been beyond amazing! Can't wait to visit again soon!! Thank you!

Lovely country pub, also it's really near the Broomfield Hospital if you're waiting for someone like I was in the hospital. It beats the hospital café hands down! Food was also excellent and friendly staff. Highly recommended.
