The Two Brewers in Chelmsford

Very cosy pub. Not too busy. Recommended

Possibly a nice place to go for a drink or some food but don’t trust them if you want to use the premises for a function.

5 star boozer this we are from Leeds and they made us feel welcome and the locals are top people with good banter

Thoroughly disappointed with the Two Brewers. Do not trust them with your special occasion. I booked TB 6 months in advance according to their policy of ‘booking form and deposit’. I phoned 3 times to check that the booking was in the diary and to arrange an appointment for viewing and arranging finer details (Covid prevented attending the first two). When I went to see the manager, she opened the diary and the event had been scrubbed out! I’d booked for a 30th party for my sister’s birthday (she lives in Australia). I didn’t receive a phone call to check or an email. They just cancelled the booking and booked someone else in. They phoned the other booking who refused to move. Surely they should have no choice if my booking was in first? No apology. No care. No customer service. Completely unreliable! To make matters worse they tried to lie and say they had contacted me (they hadn’t and they definitely had the correct details).

A smashing pub where the staff are very friendly and helpful. A great atmosphere, will definitely be returning

Lovely staff, very welcoming. Log fire was on. Would definitely recommend this pub.

I've been a customer of the Two brewers for 30 years. Open. Closed. Shut down. Refurbished....I'm so pleased to visit recently and find a packed busy vibrant pub and resturant.Long live the two breers ...

After my recent visit, The Two Brewers is, without doubt, my new favourite pub in Chemlsford.I was treated like an old friend from the moment I stepped through the door and whilst I visited other establishments during my visit to the town none matched the welcome I received at the Two Brewers.I ate several meals here and, as others have mentioned, the food is really good. They also have a good selection of drinks, with the options for spirits being particularly impressive.A lot of thought obviously goes into everything they are doing, and speaking to the manager it was clear that they have ambitions to further improve the whole experience.Overall, highly recommended.

Great atmosphere, great food, friendly staff, good range of drinks . Menu has vegan and vegetarian options. I had the Düsseldorf hot dog , sweet potato fries and garlic bread

Pretty disappointed. Penne Arabiatta lacked flavour entirely and didn't even have a hint of chilli. Pasta was over cooked. We waited for 5 minutes to be seated as there wasn't a member of staff to be found .
