Dreadful experience. My family and I arrived at the pub at 6:45 (to celebrate Father’s Day early as we all have busy weekends during actual father day). The servers were incredibly slow (especially the female waitress) who took 15 minutes to take our drinks order, 15 minutes to bring the drinks over and then failed to return for 30 minutes to take a food order. We did not receive the food until past 9pm!The pub is incredibly poorly ventilated and very Very hot inside - this was very unpleasant for my pregnant girlfriend. The young man, Alex, was fantastic and seemingly the only person working! He was running about and doing a great job, if I were reviewing him it would be a 5 star review!Really disappointed as we were hoping to celebrate.

Have dined at the pub many times now and always been delighted with the service, food and prices. Visited with my daughter on Thursday lunchtime to celebrate her 26th birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal.Fantastic, piping hot food with proper sized portions. The best wing of skate I’ve had outside of top London restaurants. Beautifully cooked in Caper butter and so fresh I mentioned it to the manager. “We buy our fish fresh daily” he said and you can tell.Mussels to start ….a bowl big enough to almost be a main course. This pub/restaurant is outstanding….

A lovely little gem of a restaurant found on our drive down to Essex. A friendly greeting from all three staff who quickly organised for a table to be made ready. Our order was taken promptly and approximately 10 minutes later our food was delivered.I had chicken satay with chips and salad. My husband had ham, egg and chips.Simple, fresh and very good quality food. One of the nicest places we've eaten in a long time.

First time visit booked as a family lunch for Mother’s Day. Very nice roast all via a set menu for the day. Nice setting and easy to get to and park. All staff were friendly. Thanks will visit again.

Visited today for early Mothering Sunday breakfast. We were given the smallest table for four adults & one child in a high chair. The service was poor, after initially bringing our drinks, no one came back to take our food order, we had to go to the bar & ask. When it eventually arrived, the food was very poor quality, cold & expensive! £15 for one waffle with fruit purée, orange juice & coffee! Shortage of staff meant there was no one to complain to before we left!

A very disappointing visit today. We arrived at 12.15 and didn't get our main meals until 1.40. I didn't have a starter so was really hungry by then. The waitress kept telling us our meals were coming when they obviously weren't.When the meals did arrive two of them were not very warm.Had the waitress been honest and informed us they were short staffed in the kitchen we would not have been so frustrated. We were not the only people to be complaining about the wait either. The manager said he would discount our meals for the inconvenience and then tried to charge us for both fish meals which were on the buy one get one free offer!!After more complaining he then gave us some vouchers for another visit.Such a shame as the food itself was very tasty. Just a lack of communication from the staff.

This was our second visit and can honestly say we really think they go above & beyond to make sure your happy with your visit. Both times we had dinner, mainly due to having someone at Broomfield Hospital. The mist recent visit he was with us and unable to eat anything on the menu so they very kindly did him a cheese omelette which he really enjoyedThe food is delicious The staff are lovely. Very attentive.Would highly recommend.

We have been to The White Hart several times, but today 15-12-21 @ 12:15 was for a birthday surprise, we were so glad we came here again.Kayleigh served us, she was absolutely wonderful, polite, smiley and very engaging. The meal was amazing, we all chose the Christmas Turkey, it was full of flavour , looked and tasted wonderful, not one thing was left on all of our plates. We all had puddings, and our cherry and almond tart was lovely. We can honestly say, this was one of the best meals we have had in a very long time, we would highly recommend The White Hart. The Inn is beautifully decorated for Christmas, and as always all the staff are great. We would personally like to thank the Chef, as you never get to see behind the scenes, but you gave us such a lovely meal, we had to thank you.Thank you to everyone, we will be back, ( sadly we missed out on tickets for New year's eve) but we will see you soon.Mr & Mrs B.

We had a very nice meal here on a Saturday evening. There is a good size car park towards the back on the property. You can either sit inside or out in the marquee which has heaters and music. The food was really nice and the staff were polite. There is a kids play area also out the back. They do some lovely cocktails and other drinks.Definitely worth a visit.Just to add, you can order from your phone or at the bar.Might be worth booking a table too as it's quite a popular place.

Lovely outside marquee area with heaters. Able to order via website whilst at table. Staff really friendly and attentive. Would recommend a visit but make sure you book a table! Food was nice and reasonable prices. Will return.
