Absolutely awful the food tasted weird the potatoes were burnt pigs in blankets cold, the table was still dirty and where we sat it really needed a good clean the walls were filth with stains and drips all up them looked down the carpet was full of crumbs and food it really put me off eating and the toilets were even worse!!!. Very disappointed and will never ever go there again. Only plus was the staff were polite and nice.

Has really gone downhill from when we used to go pre-pandemic. Wasn't a great experience, firstly we went on a Sunday because this is the day they used to do Lamb but they have stopped doing lamb now. The restaurant itself was dirty, the windows were filthy which the sunshine really emphasised, the blinds did not work which meant the table we were seated at was like a greenhouse. The people at the table closest the window actually went as far as hanging their coats over the window to try and stop the sun. The larger potatoes were raw inside and it was a very bad experience. I felt sorry for the waiting staff who were very patient and polite to people's complaints it must be a horrible environment to work in. I decided not to make a fuss in the restaurant because of my sympathy for the waiting staff and instead post this review.

As Toby's go, this is the best in the area. The service, roast and atmosphere was first class. Can't wait to go back for that melt in the mouth Roast Beef. And excellent value as always.Had to thank the Chef or I wouldn't have slept right.

Excellent value for money. We had wraps with one of the carvery meats and an option of roast potatoes or salad accompaniment. The wraps are actually massive Yorkshire puddings with the meat filling rolled inside. For £4.99 this is a really filling dish. The Carvery option is very popular and for £7 very good value. Definitely worth a visit if you are feeling hungry.

Eight of us met up here for Sunday lunch. There is a large car park and the entrance has no steps, but wheelchair users on their own may struggle to get through two sets of double glass doors to get in.Despite the building looking quite large from outside, inside space is quite tight. It is divided into several rooms, and in our room we had to weave between the tables to get to ours. The decor is a bit 'tired' but you don't come here for the ambience. We all chose the carvery roast, with me opting to go 'king size' which means for an extra £1.99 (Feb 2022) you get extra meat, two chipolata sausages, an extra (huge) Yorkshire pudding and a very large plate. You have to queue for the food in a zigzag fashion but it moves pretty quickly. The chefs carve the meat for you (turkey, gammon, beef or lamb - or a bit of two), then you help yourself to potatoes, veg, gravy, etc. You may go back up for seconds of everything except the meat, but you'll probably be too full to do that. The food was good quality and nice and hot, and even the standard plates are big. No one in my group wanted pudding after the main course. The staff are friendly and helpful, and this and the great food are the reasons I gave four stars instead of three. There was a decent selection of lagers, beer and cider, as well as a wine list. You can stand at the bar as well as drink at your tableIt was fully booked when we went, so plan ahead if you go on a Sunday.

Only popped in for a coffee which was good. Didn't want to sit in the bar area with locals swearing, so sat in the room next to the bar not in the restaurant area. Was very disappointed with the decor. Needed a good clean and redecoration. It seemed very busy in the restaurant people coming and going all the time. The roast looked good.

For £7.50 the breakfast is good value. Great pork sausages, bacon, eggs plus the amazing, surprising but delicious Yorkshire puddings! Very polite staff.

We ordered a takeaway Roast for 4 people. It was waiting when we arrived to collect it.Drove home, to then realise we had only been given half the order. We then had to drive all the way back again to ask for the other half of our order .Buy then everything was cold and our children were getting hungry. We asked for the order to be made up again.A young girl asked us to wait in the bar ( we were avoiding sitting in public places as one of my family members is vulnerable)Which is why we didn't eat in.We took our order as soon as it was packaged up and drove home. The food was cold, and not very appealing. We won't ever be eating here again.Very disappointing.

Having read previous reviews I didn't have any real expectations. I was meeting friends so what would be would be. I was pleasantly surprised. It looked like everything was freshly cooked and not just reheated and sat under a heat lamp for ages. Good quality sausages and bacon and an enjoyable breakfast all round. Excellent value

A really enjoyable lunch with four friends. Beef Turkey and Ham all excellently moist. Good choice of Veg. Hugh fluffy Yorkshire. Excellent choice of Sweet (too die for). Waitress professional but friendly. Would recommend.
