Vita Bella in Chelmsford

I was recommended this by a friend and it didn’t fail to live up to the expectations it was given. One of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Food was cooked perfectly. The best steaks I’ve ever eaten. They even went out the way to give us a gift for our anniversary. I will definitely be returning in the future , thank you !!

We have been going to Vita Bella on and off for a few years now and we love it. We attended last night to celebrate an occasion and it was a great experience. The staff was very welcoming and the service that they provided was excellent, there was no prolonged waiting between courses and they were on form with the drink requests. The owner came and spoke to us briefly during the evening and was explaining the history of the building and what had changed throughout lockdown which was a lovely touch as you really got a feel for the building. Would highly recommend it. If you do book try and request the new garden area.

Ate on Saturday 19/03. This is our umpteenth time at Vita Bella, this time a double celebration for our son and his partners birthdays. Also had our daughter and her partner. Great guidance as usual for parking, then a friendly welcome at the door. All very relaxed and not rushed from the first drinks in the lobby to the table. Our daughter is a vegan and was given her own separate menu which had plenty to choose from.Can’t go through what everybody had individually but there was fish, pork, venison, lamb and a vegan lushousness and all were beautifully cooked and presented. A couple of us had the lobster bisque for starter which was silky smooth and so tasty.The service is so good and nothing is too much trouble. Some free birthday desserts, chocolate and a small bottle of spirit finished off another great evening. Well done all behind the pass and front of house.I cannot recommend highly enough how good this restaurant is. Well I can actually, it’s great.

My favourite restaurant in Essex by far! 😍We attended tonight to celebrate our anniversary. As always, the food was amazing, the service was on point, and the wine was great. Chip is such a good host and made us feel so welcomed.Thank you everyone for such a superb night!I can't recommend this restaurant enough! x

We love Vita Bella it is al real gem and the location it is amazing! The first time I ate at this restaurant was back in the 2018 where I celebrated my birthday and from there when we have the chance we enjoy to spend time here , the food is superb. They use top ingredients and it is hard to find place outside London that offers this quality. I'm Italian and I'm very pleased to find real italian wines and products at Vita Bella it reminds me home. We always had received great parking guidance ( a very nice touch) , then a very friendly welcome at the door.The menu is rich and vast (vegetarian, vegan etc) and they can please every palate.This time I had the chance to taste "Gnocchi alla Salsiccia" they are amazing I love it.But my really "true love" at this restaurant is the Filetto. I like it with the mushrooms and rare but today I tried the Rossini and it was so good, you can feel the meat melting in your mouth from how tender and taste it is.I cannot recommend highly enough how good this restaurant is. From the owner a very professional and lovely person and all the staff who are friendly, discreet and mindful. A really indipendent business that works hard and you can see how great it is. Lovely food, gracious service. Brilliant vegetarian and vegan menu. Thoroughly enjoyed my lunch.

Decided to call in for lunch on a whim, on the way back from shopping, so glad we did. We haven't been here before - why I'll never know!First I would like to say thank you for having covid services still in place, we have to be very careful when out, for keeping vulnerable family members safe .Then, ... From the first to the last person we had contact with, all had exquisite service abilities. Something which is lacking in many establishments! ... Then onto the food, first class, the depth of flavours- wow! ... Mothers Risotto was the best she'd had in years, and the quantity of shellfish was abundant. I only had a starter size of their prawns in chilli & garlic, the prawns were large & meaty, and again so flavoursome. . Unfortunately I don't live in the area, but when visiting family I shall be back for sure. ... Thank you for an unexpected great dining experience!

Wonderful restaurant, managed very professionally with well trained and attentive waiters.The service was impeccable, the food was timed perfectly with excellent quality and execution.Will be returning soon I am sure.

One of the nicest places I've been in a long time. Will definitely be going back. Lovely food, attentive service and a nice environment. Car park a little small but they manage it well. For 2 of us 3 courses each and drinks was 110, not bad. I'm stuffed 😁

Vita Bella is an absolute masterpiece of a restaurant. When we first went, it was our 8 year anniversary. From the moment we entered the establishment, we was blown away by the absolute prestige of the staff and service I'm general. The food is fresh, made in house and completely sensational. If you are a fan of Italian food, or just fine dining, this is a spot to visit.We visited tonight, our 10 year anniversary and the first meal we have had out since we got engaged. As it was with our first visit, our experience was exemplary and the staff, again, were absolutely outstanding. Our meal was amazing, the gnocchi is a personal favourite, not to mention the delectable tiramisu! They were kind enough to put candles in our desserts and give us free cupcakes to celebrate our special occasion.Due to a lack of foresight on our behalf, we had to wait longer than expected for our cab home. It was 11pm and the staff were cleaning down, instead of kicking us out we were seated in the lounge area and given free drinks whilst we waited. The service experience here is unmatched and you are made to feel extremely welcome and highly valued as a guest. This is now our go to for anniversary celebrations.10/10 Viva Vita Bella.
