Wildwood Restaurant & Bar in Chelmsford

Spoilt for choice, really lovely location, attentive staff - food was exceptional too.

The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is good but the food could be better. My husband and I were there a few weekends ago and the pasta he ordered was really blend. My calzone looked baked on the outside but part of the dough inside was uncooked and the filling was completely cold. The cheese was not even melted. It’s a shame.

I visited the Brentwood Wildwood restaurant last night before going to the Brentwood Theatre - it was nearly empty !! The coffee I ordered was cold so I sent it back and received another one - this was cold ! And I was told that is as ‘hot as the machine goes’ !!! The meal….. my Spag Bol was cold sent it back - received another - cold again !! I gave up - my friends meal was also cold (and on a dirty plate) we paid £30.30 for a meal and drink we did not enjoy or eat !! The staff we so apologetic and polite I have no complaints with them - but the food was a disgrace !! Would I visit again NO - would I recommend NO - sorry I probably should have walked out - but that was not polite or fair to your staff !!

Food was tasty and great for vegan and gluten-free options. And the service was really fast. However the toilets didn’t flush and the hand wash dispenser was empty so I had to use a big old bottle that was just left there for customers.

My main meal and dessert were perfect. I have a severe fish allergy. The waiter and waitress were very accommodating helpful and friendly. Will recommend Wildwood to other's.Loved the restaurant Christmas decorations for this festive season.

Turned out to be a good place for lunch in Chelmsford for a large group of us including a baby. Varied menu from pizza and pasta to burgers. I enjoyed the artisan veggie pizza which was big and had a few of my favourite things: artichoke, pesto, aubergine etc. Attentive service and reasonably priced.

Planned a meal out to celebrate the Xmas season. Easy booking. Pre order food from the Xmas menu. Great price for 3 courses. The restaurant was so beautifully decorated. The staff were polite and efficient. The food was delicous and very decent portion sizes. Had a fabulous time. Definitely visit again.

Stopped for lunch. Nice big table, clean cutlery and a tasty pizza, served freshly hot and quickly. Staff very friendly and attentive.Relaxed after a hectic morning.

Highly recommend, very clean and tidy dinning area. Cocktails are strong and really tasty - recommend the alabama slammer!🍹 Food was lovely, served quickly and hot! The warm banoffee cake is amazing!!!

My meal was delicious. But my Mum's burger only had 1 patty (when it should have 2) and didn't come with the extra bacon that was ordered. They adjusted the bill for the bacon but that was about it.The staff were friendly enough. But the toilets were appalling, the toilet roll holders didn't work and they were just generally untidy with bits of toilet roll all over the floor. Disappointing and surprising seeing as the downstairs and seating area looked so clean and we'll presented.
