Zenxi in Chelmsford

Came for my birthday meal with the family, told the waitress I was a vegiterian, but when receiving my food found chicken in my chowmein. Manager was pretty obnoxiously, taking the plate of food away then comming back and saying it was egg. Definitely wasn't, I left the meal half uneaten and will not be returning. The manager knew the meal wasn't correct as he apologied to me as we were leaving, just trying to pull the wool over my eyes.Interiour of the restraunt is nice and the waiting staff were more than polite, though it was hard to get their attention at times. Would say it's expencive for the service and food quality which was provided.

Food was incredible, but our waitress was rude. When my friend asked where her order was the waitress responded "you 100% didn't order those but I can get some put through for you now"; I can confirm as a table of 8 of us we all witnessed her order the food! 100%! They also didn't get our mains order correct either, we had to ask where it was and again the waitress had to get the order put through last minute. The drinks also took so long to arrive we almost ordered again because we weren't sure they'd put the order through to the bar!FOOD = Amazing 5*SERVICE = Awful. I appreciate the restaurant is an up-market style however you can provide classy 5* service without being rude.

A location just out of town. A smart restaurant with extensive menu. Not very accommodating for vegetarians. The prices are of a higher end and the service wasn't great ( had to ask 4 times for tap water).but was very tasty and dessert was great.

It was for a 50 birthday they made it a wow experience, really good food , atmosphere and the staff were great . Can totally recommend.

BRENTWOOD ZENXI !!!! Couldn't hear the music, was told to be quiet because we was Too noisy even though it was my friends birthday and there was 15 of us. We was also rushed out. Really bland food and service was awful. Wouldn’t recommend!!!!

Celebrated Valentines early last night and had an amazing time. Service and food was wonderful! Not my first visit to Zenxi and they never disappoint. I look forward to many more!

Belated 30th birthday dinner for my son & we were looked after superbly.All dishes were beautifully presented, tasty, hot and the service was impeccable.Thoroughly recommend for a special evening.

Decor is nice, up market. Wide selection of meat/sea food options. Couple of tofu options. Could have been more for veggie /vegan options perhaps. Food was OK, not sure if what I had was worth the cost if I'm honest but the service was great. Would I return? As a veggie probably not I'm afraid to say.Parking possible at Baddow long stay car park 3 minute walk. £1 in the evenings.
