Ask Italian in Colchester

I can easily say the best restaurant definitely in town! Great food, fresh ingredients, good prices and friendly staff.

Spent a lovely afternoon, enjoying a meal with my family at ASK Italian today. Fantastic food and the staff are brilliant, very efficient and friendly. Will definitely be recommended the restaurant and cannot wait for our next meal there, 10/10.

We went last Saturday and it was a very cold night, they sat us right in front of the main entrance, it was freezing, it was constantly being opened with customers and Deliveroo drivers coming in. We requested to be changed to another table as some became available but they didn’t change us, they gave them to new customers coming in after us. Waiting time for food was very long too, looks like they are biting more than they can chew with all the customers at the restaurant plus all the Deliveroo orders, it was one of our favourite restaurants in Colchester but we won’t be coming back.

Lovely atmosphere, a staple in our restaurants list. Our favourites from the menu are their nduja pizza and dough balls, vegan pea-based pizza and linguine pasta. Unfortunately they're lacking on the dessert side though, not happy with their selection/flavours.

The atmosphere was nice but when I got the food the pizza was extremely cold. I managed to finish it but it wasn't that nice. The dessert was good but the food being cold really put me off. I went to another Ask Italian and it was a lot nicer.

Nice setting within an older property sitting on North Hill, Colchester. Food was good though service was slow possibly due to busy lunchtime rush with the good weather. Pricing comparative to other chains... Zizzi, nando's etc.

Food ok. Waiter attentive and friendly. Noisy group nearby, but that's a chance you take in any restaurant. Overall good experience. .

We had a very nice meal at Ask Italian in colchester. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. The starters were particularly nice.. You can change up your tesco club card vouchers and use them here to partly the cover the bill 👍 drinks are paid for separately.

We had a lovely meal here with a big group for a birthday celebration. The food was classic Italian pizza and pasta, a d very tasty, but the service was absolutely fantastic. We had George, and he was very patient with both us and the children's table we had with us (all under 10).The kids table was dealt with totally separately, with George taking all of their orders and making sure they all had a nice time. Us adults had plenty if service too, and all of our requests were dealt with professionally and well. The manager even agreed to move tables to accommodate our numbers.Very well done, and thank you for a lovely Friday evening celebration.

Great service and really nice food. The cheesecake was delicious. The roast lamb pizza was a bit too sweet for our liking, and the kids pasta dish was too small so we had to ask for more. But, we would certainly go back as the kids loved it and the craft raspberry lemonade is always a massive hit.
