I used to love this place, used to be best Chinese in Colchester but our past couple takeaways have been disappointing, the portion sizes have gotten smaller, prices creeping up and now you have to buy prawn crackers, when you used to get a free bag when you spent a certain amount

Always have a reasonable takeaway from the Beijing. It can be pretty busy at times, and often your better off going down there to pick up.We had duck and some Chinese pork which was very nice, but also had a Chinese curry and a satay chicken that was a little liquidy, albeit still nice. Have had rice at other Chinese takeaways that are better...Have used the Chinese on / off for a number of years so not our favourite, but certainly wouldn't purposely avoid it.

I've just had mine delivered and couldn't eat it, it was the driest chow mien I've ever had and my chip's wasn't cooked, it was so dry it wasn't easy to swallow, my partner said he's was nice

Best Chinese we have had for a long time 3 adults at least 6 dishes and cant find any fault at all top service and very delicious food.

What a fab meal we have just had. The pancake rolls were full of meats, prawns and noodles and the rest of the dishes were great. As for the chips...amazing!

Had a takeaway sunday, I must say it was very disappointing.Used to use Beijing a lot a while ago and always happy with the food. But this set meal for 2 was not very nice it was very bland and dry, even the ribs were dry.Will probably not use this takeaway again.

second time I tried the food it's absolutely fantastic, definitely recommend it !Later edit after 4 years of using Beijing, still very good but with the lemon chicken is sometimes hit and miss (sometimes it feels you’re eating chewing gum not chicken as some bits are not properly made). Last night was good !
