We enjoy the lunch time deals. The staff allways happy and friendly.

Takes cards and cash, nice food and great service

·

Nice fish and chips price was a bit high though

Nice big portions of chip's, I went in just before closing and ordered a small portion and what I got was a medium portion at a small price. Great value, they are always polite even at the end of the day and they want to go home. Nothing is to much trouble, definitely the PLACE to go for great fish and chips 🍟

Ordered burger and chips, sausage and chips, chicken pie and chips and a portion of chips. Unfortunately I live too far away to go back but got home, no burger, chips looked as though they had been cooked at least five times, sausage was also overcooked. Sorry to say won't be going back.

I ordered a small cod and a portion of chips, I asked if they could be wrapped separately which they said they would do. When I picked them up I checked with the girl who said sorry there not separate, I explained that I was a vegetarian and wouldn't eat the chips, the young girl then unwrapped them and took the fish out and rewrapped the same chips and the cod separately and handed them to me. I have now paid for chips which went straight in the bin. Very annoying.

Got fish n chips for the family, first off, absolutely shocked at the prices. £3.50 for a 'large chips' (doesn't look very large in the photo does it) and I got myself some cod bites and a battered sausage. 'Cod bites' were absolutely disgusting tiny salty pieces of tough fish. They went straight in the bin. The sausage was ok, but it is honestly disgusting what they charge for fish n chips. Only reason they can is the owner and his brother (bills plaice) have got a monopoly on fish n chips in tiptree. If you're reading this, do yourself a favour and drive to maldon/heybridge to get some. Far better in everyway.

Excellent fish and chips from Chris' again, they know how to look after their customers. The Cod was light and fluffy and tasted great, their Cheeseburgers are the best in Tiptree and the kids loved the Savaloy and Battered Sausage. Can thoroughly recommend.

I went to Chris Fish Bar tonight and was my first time eating from there. The young girl who served me was very friendly and welcoming. I didnt have to wait long for my order and when i got home the portions was massive and delicious. I will definatly be going back to Chris Fish bar.

Prices and portion sizes are decent, service was given with a smile. But chips were VERY undercooked, was not informed that curry sauce contained meat, ended up throwing more than half away. Shame. I also paid more as I wanted to pay on card (as is advised right now), but they wouldn't let me order on card under £5.. do you not want any business? Once this place catches up with the rest of us, it'll be fantastic.
