Hidden jewel in Colchester, one of the best fish and chips I have had. Excellent portion with the fish and chips cooked fresh. The curry sauce is definitely recommended as is their salad. Excellent value for money. Both takeaway and sit in options available.

Absolutely rubbish customer service. Food is good which is the reason for the 1 🌟. Orders paid for not complete, staff very rude, disrespectful and snappy. She justified her actions by claiming to have been in a bad mood already and can't stand anymore because we attempted to clarify our children's choices of meals which we eventually paid for but weren't served complete even right in our presence.Children became sad and scared because of the way she spoke to their dad, "just pay and go"; got everyone worked up just for a meal 🙄🙄It was actually my first visit but I really don't think my family will want to have anything to do with this outlet ever again!

Stopped by for a cheeky portion of chips and very glad I did. They were cooked fresh and were very tasty too. Great location and easy to get to. They have a seating area at the rear that is very clean and well presented too. Highly recommended chippy

Food is nice, when it gets sent correctly! 4 orders now and each 1 a problem! Same again this evening, 3 items missing, 8 seperate calls to the restaurant and no one answers the phone. So that's 3 members if our family without dinner tonight! Absolutely disgusting. How hard is it to double check orders before they go out. Definitely wont be using them again

One of the best in Colchester. Delicious food as always. Shame that people have to cut your stars only because delivery drivers don't do they work properly.

Dr chippy is a lovley welcoming place to eat with amazing staff and a brilliant owner , it also has the best food in colchester 100% , portion sizes are amazing and the taste of the food is out of this world , i would 100% recommend Dr chippy if you want food that will blow your mind..... I recommend the chicken wrap for sure.....

Just visited my first chippy in Colchester and had fish n chips after more than 2 years. It was definitely one of the best I’ve had. The portions were very generous, the quality was high and the garnishing and small details such as the salad and spices and freshness were all top notch. The owner is a very jolly, friend Turkish man who showed great hospitality and respect. Will come again. Price is a little high but portions and quality is superb.
