Friendly welcome, super clean and the best fish & chips ever. Food served in boxes so the fish didn't get soggy on the usual paper plus totally non greasy. Our first time trying Henley's and it sure won't be the last. Well be back soon.

Award-winning fish and chip shop for many years. High quality fish and chips, as well as kebabs, burgers, etc. The owner has plenty of staff but also works in the shop, and he has a passion for quality and customer care, and this means you will never be disappointed. If you are, he will want to hear about it.As of November 2021, they are still running a loyalty card. When you buy fish and chips from them (not sure if it includes other items) you get a card stamped. When you have ten stamps, you can swap the full card for a free portion.I have been using this shop for many years, and heartily recommend it. There is always a queue, which proves the quality.

Gluten free available every day…! Says the sign…We shlepted there as we have numerous gluten free members of our family. Only to be told there’s no gluten free at weekends. Don’t advertise it. Disappointing!

Visiting from the north of England, I'd heard very good reviews about this place so gave it a try. I ordered cod and chips. Disappointingly, the fish came in one box, the chips in another (a lot of cardboard waste). At my local up north, fish and chips are still wrapped in paper. The portion size was very generous, definitely enough for 2 people. At £10 for cod and chips, the portions need to be big! I found the batter on the fish to be overly thick and rather on the oily side. The chips could have been crisper. I was surprised to find the skin left on the underside of the fish (perhaps that's how it's done down south?). Overall, the fish and chips were just okay, definitely nothing special. Based on the rave reviews I'd heard about, I have to say I found it disappointingly underwhelming.

I found it middle of the road at best. Can't work out why it's that expensive and assumed it was because of all the awards they talk about on the signs dotted about the place.I turned up at 13:40 and ordered donner meat and chips with a bit of cod but apparently they don't do the donner meat and chips in the morning? It was early afternoon.Got a hot dog which was ok and one of the only things I saw on th menu that was reasonably priced.All in all I'd go again but it won't be the first place I'd think of.

Lovely fish and chips. And amazing service - when Just Eat never arrived - not Henley’s fault - we called the restaurant and they delivered our meal themselves.Now that’s excellent customer service. And the food’s fantastic too. Highly recommended and will use again - though will deal directly rather than via JustEat. Thank you, Henley’s.
