Hudson Bar in Colchester

Friendly service, nice atmosphere but pretty expensive drinks, especially considering I wasn't quick enough to stop my gin being drowned!

Me and a friend had a burger. He had beef and I had the vegetarian option. My burger was a slice of aubergine. My friends cost £6.99 and mine was £16.99. The chef came out to tell me it was the highest quality aubergine!! Hilarious.

Hudsons is my favourite place to drink and dance.How ever me and a friend were sitting at a table near to the bar were 2 guys had a punch up, glass smashed, tables and chairs went everywere.I was very shocked at how slow the security was to get in the club and brake it up. It took approximately 3 minutes till they released their was a fight, everyone was trying to move out the way quickly till they broke it up.But apart from that everyone had a good time. Staff were friendly.

Really nice inside just a pity that customers are out to destroy it by dumping all the rubbish into the sofas

Great place for a bit of a night out. Amazing atmosphere and well priced drinks too.There was a DJ there on site adding to a buzzy atmosphere.There is a small entry charge though but that certainly didn't put a dampener on the night.Would highly recommend.

Went on Friday had a steak which was so hard. The person I went witch's sausage was burnt, the waiter took forever to come and take our orders. I appreciate that it was a busy night but the food was not up to standard. I was quite disappointed as it was highly recommended by my friends.

Going to lunch here is always a pleasure. Reserved a table for a special occasion today. Turned up an hour early and it was no problem. The friends we took had never been before and absolutely loved it. They are already planning a return trip and they live out of town! Once again, this restaurant is a hidden gem and I don't know why it is so quiet. We will return again and again..

Well kept place set in an industrial theme.Didn't eat here this time and if the staffs response time is anything to go by I won't either. Had a pint and made some work related calls then popped to the loo and found an upstairs outdoor smoking veranda so I thought oooh maybe I'll have another. Went back to the bar and stood there for probably 10 minutes whilst the bar staff (a bald bearded man and a lady with pink hair) proceeded to walk past me without acknowledging me for the remainder of the time I could be bother to be ignored. Needless to say I left and went to a rival for a more alert member of the bar team to serve me instead.

Went here with a group of friends for food and cocktails! Food wasn't too bad kind of what I would expect. Prices were good for what you got on the plate. Service was 50% good the young lady serving us was smiley and gave great service. The gentleman didn't smile atall was abrupt with orders and taking of plates after the meal almost like someone had upset him prior! Overall I would go back and enjoyed he experience.
