Best place. Travelled here from Harlow with my daughter to have these!! Honestly the best food. Always friendly and welcoming staff.

We went for lunch. The food was delicious. Freshly cooked and hot. I had the large cod and chips which was a very generous potion. I would think the regular size would be big enough for most people. Our kids had kids meals which again were generously portioned. Our 11 year old finished his but it was too much for our 7 year old.You can take away or eat in. We chose to eat in and there was plenty of space even though we went at Sunday lunchtime.Fish and chips at the seaside, can't go wrong with this place!

We usually pop in here on trips down to Mersea. Best fish and chips and presented really nicely to take away. Assistants very pleasant. Strongly recommend.

The best fish and chips around Colchester. Fish is fresh (not cooked from frozen), the batter and the chips are not oily. Also, the service is really good. Highly recommend the place.

Fabulous chip shop. And they served gluten free fish and chips. They don't do children's portions and I honestly think 1 medium bag of chips would have been more then enough between my 3 girls. With their sausages in batter.Fish was delicious and the chips were super yummy to.Not often you find such a gluten free gem in such a small place. The staff were super helpful with my questions too.Definitely worth a visit

It was biggest fries portion ever. Literally we had large to share and 2 of us could not finish 1 portion. Even if we have been pretty hungry. Not expensive, however, it's very simple and basic. Outdated tables and need some decorating throughout. No mirror in the toilet. Customer service was good and quick. Food could be better quality.

Visiting Mersea for the first time, came to the fish bar after a walk along the beach. The staff were great, haddock and skate were fantastic, chips were great too along with some curry sauce. Highly recommend this place, thank you Mersea Island fish bar

Delicious food, the best chip shop chips ive had in ages, you can tell they are fried in proper oil and not that palm oil/frymax stuff. Good social distancing in place and hand sanitiser on entry. We ate ours on the beach and got a seafood platter to take home for tea.
