Brightly painted pub in the unusual setting of a converted red brick theatre building.

Pretty good most of the time. Sometimes the people will forget something I have asked. Like cleaning the table from the last people, but that tends to be when they are super busy, so it's understandable. The food is decent. Cheap and cheerful as we say.

·

Spacious and friendly pub with good prices and good food. No noisy music so can have a decent conversation. It's an iconic old building with tons of character. Stop by if you can, you won't regret it.

·

Great food and an amazing place! Would recommended!

·

Nice and typical. As usual, the company JD Wetherspoon makes me happy. Found through the app, I went over the weekend as I imagined crowded and full of people. A theater-like venue with a fake audience in the stands above.

·

Same for all the Wetherspoon. Horrible coffee, hot chocolate or mocha.

·

Amusing set up for a pub since it was once a theater. It gets very busy but has lots of atmosphere. Great food, chips are especially good!!

·

As to be expected with Wetherspoons The Playhouse is very popular. This venue used to be a theatre and the interior is reminiscent of the good old days. Another fabulous venue which again is often very busy. Service excellent. Staff really friendly and helpful. Food delicious. What could be better. Well worth a visit.

Portions are now tiny for a mixed grill. Better quality cut of steak gone.Had to ask for salt, but lass was great.Prices gone up and third of staff look beaten.Treat workers better, give ur normal std of food and might return.Well done to other 2 thirds who r still smiling.

·

Quite an experience to eat in an old theatre with all the decorations & some props there.Good hot food. BUT appaling about cleanliness, tables not cleaned between customers...😲 we did it ourselves, carpet needs a good hoovering and empty cans under the tables....pity especially in present situation 👎

·

Decent enough Spoons. Food and drink as good as its always is. Nice old theatre surroundings. Allergen advice always excellent too.
