Such a good breakfast after a morning run. Very nice staff. Very good food and at low prices. Such a beautiful and peaceful place. I recommended a lot !

Meal very tasty but bar lacked gin flavours completely!! Which surprised me ... because I don't know of any restaurant or hotel that doesn't have flavoured gin!!

Filmed a lovely wedding at this amazing venue on NYE. The staff could not have been more helpful and attentive to the wedding party and us. Plus the venue is a real Tudor building. The food is delicious, as it is so local to us we will be returning in the future.

We booked our wedding reception here, I really didn’t want to leave a bad review as I’d given plenty of time and opportunity to rectify the issue. There are far too many mistakes made on the day. I was embarrassed by the whole situation. Things I was promised never happened. Personally I would not recommend using this company for a wedding reception. Very upset as you don’t get another special day like this again.

Charming venue with nice food and helpful staff. The sort of place we enjoy staying in.Low mark on this occasion as our room was not very well lit and was above an Xmas party with very loud music which went until midnight.Apart from this we liked the place and will give it another try in the future when it's a bit quieter.

First time her. Such a lovely place. Christmas meal was excellent. Went with sainsburys veterans so was a lot of us. The staff were all so friendly. They couldn't have been more helpful. Would highly recommend this for a meal.

Truly terrible place to stay: The parking was pretty much non existent. The room was directly on to a main road with an outside door that didn’t shut properly so was incredibly noisy all through the night. The heating was stuck on and the bathroom was like run down student housing. Marginally better than going and sleeping in the car which I genuinely considered. You have to pay on arrival… before you see the room… I think I know why! Do yourself a favour and stay else where.

The main building looks very fascinating, definitely worth going for a drink. All the staff was helpful and welcoming. The room we got was in separate building at the back of the historic one: although quite new, the room would do with a bit of refurbishment and heavy cleaning (especially the bathroom).

We got married here yesterday and it was brilliant. The team in all of the run up were very supportive and understanding of the numerous issues, the food was tastey and the wine was good. We had an excellent day and evening and would thoroughly recommend this as a wedding venue. Thanks to Sue and Cat especially.

If you like an olde world hotel experience this is the place. Like going back 400 years in history (in a lovely way). We didn't dine here but the buffet breakfasts were tasty and plenty full. Spacious car parking within hotel grounds.
