Excellent pup, nice staff and a good choice of beer. Make a point of going out our way every Saturday lunchtime for a beer. Also has an excellent reputation for its food. Would recommend.

Is my local, so I'm a little biased, but The Alma is a lovely relaxing proper quality English pub. Friendly, lovely staff. Good food. New (well, quite a while now) management have done an excellent job during a difficult couple of years. Really been a hub for the community and a source of cheer, thanks!

At the heart of this historic village, a proper country pub with friendly efficient staff, a landlord and his lady who care about quality and service, and a chef who is passionate about his craft. Fabulous and friendly. Would highly recommend this pub/restaurant. It is everything a village pub should be. From the second we walked in, it was like we were welcomed into the family, everyone was happy, inviting and friendly. The food was perfect and everything you could wish for. Perfect!!

Longer than expected for food to arrive, on what seemed a quiet period (35m). The food itself was very tasty and the meal size certainly filled us up. That certainly saved the score.Atmosphere was rather bland, though it was quiet, largely due to the compartmentalization of the rooms, so chatter and bustle of reduced.

We went to the Alma for a beer and not to eat although the Sunday roast looked very good. We sat outside as quite mild and they had infrared heaters. The beer, IPA, was very good. It was busy but plenty of staff to serve at the bar. Lots of outside space, tables and chairs.
