The Britannia/Gurkha Restaurant and bar in Colchester

This is a little gem. Lovely food great experience. Very reasonable. Will definitely visit again next time we're in Colchester.

No menu as so to speak. One price gets you 3 course buffet style meal. A selection of starters and an array of main dishes. The food was truly great, flavourful not to hot or spicy. Would definitely recommend and am sure will be going again.

OMG I walked my daughter's two terrier dogs as she was in hospital. On the way back I popped into this Pub which is dog friendly. DEFINITELY the best pint of beer I have tasted outside of Durham!!! Nice atmosphere good barman!!

The B & G delivered a delicious feed to our rather large party with ease last Saturday evening. Everyone absolutely delighted and would certainly come back.

Lovely, tasty food. Would definitely recommend. Great to have a drink in the bar as well.

I went into the pub today as there was broken glass all over the pavement and in the road. I had to go in the road which was dangerous due to speed of cars with my dog who would have received cut paws.I went in to speak to the owner and told him about the glass who keep saying AND AND I also said i sometimes come on my mobility scooter which would have given me a puncher he replied so what. I am not going to clean it up , He obviously dose not give Adame about his customers or his nabours and has little respect with people who have a disability.

Excellent friendly service and nice buzzy atmosphere....lovely cuisine too. ...been a few times now and have always enjoyed the experience.....never disappointed. Highly recommended !!

Just had a meal here with my wife it's a pub come restaurant with a friendly atmosphere ..with a set menu simple but great food was nice staff was very welcoming....I loved it....and will be back

Great customer service, the staff are very friendly. What's unique about this restaurant is they have one set meal per day, so there is no menu to choose from, however, they were happy to make dietary changes where necessary. Its a great idea and well implemented.

Visited this restaurant while visiting the area. Read reviews thought it sounded amazing.We were ushered to our seats asked what we wanted to drink before we sat down.Dishes started arriving before we knew it, were not informed of how it worker untill I asked.We would have left and gone elsewhere if we weren't so hungry. The food was mediocre at best we did not enjoy the experience at all.Asked for a second coke waited ages once reminded the waitress took a half filled glass from under the counter and the man behind the bar topped it up from another glass that had been sitting there.When I asked was it fresh she said yes I told her what I saw she went and got a fresh glass reluctantly.We could not Wait to leave and go to the supermarket and get some snacks.I reluctantly paid without making too much fuss just wanted to get out.Can not understand the others reviews!!!.
