I changed number of diners & incorporated potential disability requirements at late notice. The Coast Inn were very accommodating & receptive to the changing nature of my booking. Food was excellent & the wine list also, which is very important to me. Thanks everyone at The Coast Inn for a lovely birthday lunch.

It is a nice Mersea Island pub with a lovely outdoor area as well as indoor . Good food, good service and good location. Very friendly staff

Enjoyed our Valentines meal here. Best Calamari ever my husband said for starters. I had parsnip soup which was delicious. Our mains were plentiful in fact neither of us could finish . Staff were very attentive without being in your face.

We popped in while visiting the island. Lovely clean decor, with lots of outside seating too. We stayed inside by the big fire as it was a chilly morning. Menu is small and simple, but we were all happy with our choices. The coffee is below standard… I would just get a juice next time. Or come back later for a Gin!Most of all, it’s Dog friendly!

We had a really nice meal here on new year's day 2022. Even though it was rather busy we were still able to find a table upstairs and food was brought to the table quickly. Lots of food for the money. Serving our steak panini with a mini jug of gravy... Genius! Perfect, thankyou!

Have been for lunch many times and always found it to be consistently good. Today had a relaxed weekend breakfast instead which was filled with very high quality ingredients cooked to perfection. Recommended.

Amazing place by the coast. Family and dog friendly. We was pleasantly surprised to see so many dog bowls with water by the tables. Staff was very friendly and professional. The food.. simply amazing. They also have a customer carpark which was very handy as spaces to park are very limited there. Strongly recommend to book both restaurant and carpark before hand.

Has outside and inside sitting areas. Dog friendly. Looking cosy and busy. We only had some drinks so hard to say about the food. However, we have been served considerably quickly. Staff nice and friendly. I would come back for brunch next time.

·

Friendly enough staff although they didn't let us eat oysters from across the road on the outdoor tableswhich is fine but our group had just purchased at least 100 quid worth of drinks so bit strange to get bolshy about it as we were about to leave. Nice setting just off the waterfront though and lots of space for friends would recommend it post walking for sure!!

Lovely place, really recommend the seafood plater the only horrible thing on it is the chowder. Staff are polite not to chatty but place was busy so has lots to do
