Great place. Great food and good surroundings.

It's old fashioned.... which I quite liked as it was clean and tidy.The food was good. The service was ok. It felt quite expensive for what we had.It was fine hence 3 stars.

A nice clean and friendly place to eat, however, with 3 others on my table, I ordered something off the specials board, the waitress came back some minutes later to apologise that they had now run out of that option. Then chose something off the main menu only to be told that that was no longer available either. Third choice, one of the other specials, no, sorry last one has just gone. Getting a bit silly now! OK one more option off the main menu, unbelievably not available. Out of frustration ended up picking something I really didn't want just so that everyone else on the table could get theirs before they went cold!Appreciate that specials do run out, that's why they are specials, but items on the main menu?When my meal came it wasn't terribly exciting and in truth I had gone off it before it cameThe manager did make a gesti of good will which was kind, but not a good experience.

Had a family get together here.I must admit the service was exceptionally slow. Drinks orders were taken and then 10/15 minutes later the drinks arrived one at a time over a period of about 10 minutes. The same happened with the food. Almost felt as if we had been forgotten. My food looked good on the plate but was pretty mediocre. Another member of our group said his fish (in batter) was only just a tad away from being burnt. I am sorry to say that I don't think I would eat here again. Possibly another problem with understaffing.

Great service and food and prices. Helpful and friendly staff from the first point of contact of booking a table all the way through to arrival and departure. Lovely surroundings both indoors and outdoors. A memorable experience and will definately be returning soon. Highly recommend .

This is a lovely country pub where i have eaten a few times. Staff are very friendly and accommodating and the atmosphere is lovely. Had a beautiful meal, portion sizes were huge, and it's very reasonable for the quality of food. It's certainly one of my favourite pubs to come to and is always busy, so best to book beforehand.

Great place to stop on a walk through the Colne valley. Good size beer garden at the rear as well as additional tables out front overlooking the cricket green. The food is of an excellent pub grub standard, will definitely be back!!!

We had a very nice roast dinner here outside in the sunny garden. Lovely fresh vegetables and a choice of beef or lamb. The sticky toffee pudding was amazing and filter coffee delicious.

Stopped by here for a quick early supper with my husband. I believe the pub is excellent. Very clean and well organized. The staff was very polite, prompt and covid compliant with social distancing. My husband had the fish n chips which was very yummy. I had the steak and ale pie of the day, I ate the whole thing.
