The Crown Wormingford in Colchester

It's a beautiful place. My sisters had their wedding reception here and it was amazing. Stunning scenery out the back, and the family who run the place, treated everyone like part of that family. It's dig friendly too so I was able to bring my boy with me. They even have cooling doggy ice cream too! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place for the family to chill and have something to eat! Nothing was too much trouble. 10/10 👍

I really did feel for the staff here. A very busy night, one barman and one lady doing the food.They were low or did not have some items and the food was average at best.

Family friendly, but not aimed at children, wonderful helpful staff, beautiful pub, great food.

Excellent food and comfort after a 6 mile walk through the fields. All we craved was some pub grub and a drink and this place hit the spot.The chips were incredibly done, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The onion rings were as big as my face and the garlic bread was homemade!The service has also been brill as the two people working there are absolutely lovely.They've thought of everything. They have a bouncy castle for kids, plenty of garden space and good music with a view of the fields.Looking forward to going back for sure.

Nice little place, bit scruffy outside but meal was OK good portion sizes. Nice that it's dog friendly. Kids allowed to chalk on patio which is uneven. But I sense its all work in progress will probably go back

Had a lovely large tasty family breakfast today and well looked after by Sarah And Paul. Would highly recommend and look forward to visiting again soon.

Well and truly enjoyed our first breakfast at The Crown this morning and it definitely won't be our last. Friendly staff, great value for money and cooked to perfection. Pubs like these deserve the recognition and highly recommended. Thanks Sara and Paul.

I've had this venue on my 'to go' list for quite some time now and finally got a chance to pop in see what's it's all about!Popped in for a quick pint on a stressful day and got chatting to the landlord and landlady, absolutely lovely people they really are.I had a belated birthday doo on the cards as it had been delayed due to covid so decided to have it here and EVERYONE had fun!They have a lot of entertainment nights so we booked it to coincide with the 'beer valley drifters' (I think they were called) and we all had a really great night. I honestly don't know how the management managed to feed and water so many people so effectively, they really were absolutely everywhere and done a grand job.All in all we are definitely coming back for more of everything! See you soon!

This is a chilled out venue great bratwursts served. Lots of room between tables and a well laid out garden/ dining area. Very friendly staff. We will visit again.
