Had a fantastic afternoon tea here!!!Great value for the amount of food you get. Fabulous quality and very lovely staff. Gorgeous decor and welcoming atmosphere.

We visited based on google reviews, but had a disappointing experience. There were only 3-4 tables in for breakfast, but service was extremely slow (getting a menu, ordering, getting drinks and then food). The food was OK, but nothing to write home about. They seemed to be understaffed, so perhaps just a one-off…

Had several Sunday lunches delivered.Today revisited for coffee and cake, took some friends.Choice of cakes superb as normal, always a great choice of HOME made cakes, thank you for a great job.

Had a wonderful afternoon tea this afternoon. Sandwiches and cakes were nice and fresh and a lovely selection. Originally had to cancel but then offered a takeaway version which was so nice...thank you.Definately recommend.

We had a lovely themed afternoon tea here today, to celebrate a birthday. We got to enjoy a room to ourselves, which was so lovely and private. The food was incredible, there was so much choice and they catered for everyone's needs. They were very attentive with offering drinks etc. And had a good balance of providing a great service, but also leaving us to enjoy our afternoon. Fantastic afternoon had by all of us, thanks guys

Took my sister to the Gilt Rooms for afternoon tea to celebrate her Birthday. Very impressive. Staff are friendly and helpful the food was superb especially the warm scones - delicious. Will be returning soon!

Ha! I'll quite happily write the 100th google review: we had a roast dinner here with the family... I honestly din't think I've had better... EVER!!!! Fantastic meal and service thank you!

Just got home after a family Sunday Roast lunch at The Gilt Rooms in West Mersea. Everyone in our group of 8 thought it was great. Food was delicious and generous. Service was very friendly and attentive. They catered for our gluten and dairy intolerant member. They had even made the effort to have a dairy/gluten free Yorkshire pudding for her. Will definitely be adding this to our list of places we like to eat.

Beautiful and generous lunch, and friendly, excellent service. Awesome selection of leaf teas too.Next time we plan to go back for their cream tea offer, sounds amazing! What a find! Really worth a visit!
