We cycled here having already had our meal and a couple of pints near the quay in Wivenhoe. We both wished we had tried the Horse and Groom first because the food looked good and was considerably cheaper than down by the river Colne. The beer was decent and I will try the food and drink here next time I eat in Wivenhoe.

Delicious home cooked food ,well kept beers ,freindly staff and a varied list of events make for a wonderful community hub

This is the first time that I've visited this public house since 1988. And I have found it to be quite honest and relaxing. The draft Guinness was beautiful, very nice. In fact it was excellent. So good that I will be going back for more very soon. 😎, Cool.

I was only there a short time but I can say very good staff on duty and I enjoyed the Garden area as well briefly thank you

Not alot to report here. Little village pub selling beers and food. Little beer garden out the back with some benches and swings. Nice staff. WiFi
