Whilst visiting the area we noticed this place popped in on the off chance of Sunday lunch n we're welcomed with a lovely Sunday roast in the bar area

Great place to eat and drink, really good food. If you like a carvery then the times is the place to come, good service and good food. 👍

Really upset when we turned up to find that it was no longer a carvery. We had looked forward to it all day there was quite a bit of choice but all very dry meals mostly with chips. When our food was served the plates were cold and we all left some chips that also turned cold. Please bring back the carvery 6 days a week like it used to be.

Nice large pub. Service was friendly. The food was typical pub food. Nice but not gourmet pub.

We always go here when visiting our friends, for Sunday carvery lunch. We've been doing this for at least 12 years now, they live in Maldon and we live in Northamptonshire. We have never had a bad meal and would not want to go anywhere else a fab meal everytime, thank you to all who work at The New Times.

A very pleasant carvery. It handled our party of 25 with smooth skill. The starter bar was excellent as was the carvery meat choice and roast potaoes and yorkshires. Vegetables rather overcooked for my taste. Pudding selection was very good and coffee was nice

Disappointed staff did not wear masks staff also not very friendly,, ok so not rude. Will return as the food was good, as there was eleven of us the deserts ran out ! No one in my party complained. It was a bit strange that in these times where most pubs complain of lack of business, I felt they didn't want us there.. may be it was just me.But I'm not the only one to review this place in the same manner. To sum up Its glum!!!!
