Very nice venue with lots of atmosphere. Recently expanded so there's more space to drink and sit downstairs.Only con is there's no music on the ground floor/main bar area which would be sm improvement.Venue on the too floor for gigs is great depending on what's on.

Popped in for lunch today Lovely ambience and pleasantly busy Only just got a table in time! Ordered TWM pale ale and burgers Food coming out looked great, building our anticipation and we were not dissappointed. This was not your ordinary burger.and was deliciously different from the norm, perfectly cooked and washed down with their own beer.Very enjoyable experience.

Always a nice friendly atmosphere. Lots of choice of beer and a while gin bar too. The food is very nice and they put on some really good music on the top floor.

First of all it’s dog friendly and any place that brews beer on site is usually a goto for me… these guys are doing just that in the city centre of Colchester, but also have a huge space for seating and a great menu!We were there at lunch, and I’d love to return at night to see the difference vibes!

Just amazing. Some of the tastiest chicken I have ever tried. An absolute delight to go to, seating comfy and spacious. Beer delicious. Staff cannot do enough for you! Probably the best pub in Colchester!

The food was amazing🤤 I would definitely recommend the wings and the burger👌🏻 However, the service was a bit slow as the place was packed. I will be coming back for sure.

This place could be incredible......The concept is there , the menu is really good and definitely draws you in, the promise of slow cooked smoked meat ......The food isn't very good at all, the beef cheek wasn't flavourful in the slightest, the ribs were quite good but still lacking in some flavour,It feels as if corners are being cut to push out the food as this kind of food takes time to get right,Such a shame as it's a cool place !!The beer was ok but the gin bar in the basement is what added a star, really enjoyed it down there with a great selection of gins!I'd like to hope I just visited on a bad evening....

Great bar, good selection of British and international beers and ciders. A little bit too bright light in the evening for my feelings.
