Went there on St. Patrick's Day we both hat a great meal and drinks and it was not expensive. Friendly staff and so helpful. We will be going there again really liked it.

Today I booked a table at 12 for 13 people for 1.15. Although Timbers were under staffed with staff illness we were all accommodated, warmly greeted and had delicious lunches! I don’t think there’s another restaurant in Colchester that would be able to look after us in the same way. The food and drinks were served very quickly. We’re already looking forward to returning again next week! A special thanks to Ella, Shanice and Niamh for looking after us so well!!!

First visit to this lovely cafe today, glad we went. We both had the breakfast and it was fantastic, freshly cooked and served by a very friendly, smiley young lady. Amazing value for money and we will DEF be returning, can't wait to try the Sunday roast soon 😊

Lovely place and nice staff but I have to say I was disappointed with the meal I had, lasagne - it was too runny and it was tasteless. I wish I'd ordered anything else because the food coming out looked really nice, especially the breakfasts. I'd go again but definitely wouldn't want the lasagne

I love coming to Timbers when I come to Colchester to visit my daughter. I had the wonderful omelette and she had the soup and a sandwich. Always happy to return to this lovely cafe.

Absolutely adore Timbers. The staff are fantastic, they're all really friendly and kind. Never judged me coming in post nightshift looking half dead for an amazing fry up. I'd bring all my friends and family here when they visited and they all loved it.One of the few places I miss since leaving Colchester.

Good ambience, friendly service. Had the beef stew with dumplings - flavourful comfort food but could be more tender. The mushroom & onion quiche however could be improved - biscuit base tasted stale & almost had an alkaline taste to it. Filling was soft, tender and full of flavour though!
