Loved it! Great service, great ppl, delicious food and a great atmosphere.

Had a great time at Tymperleys, suitable for a special occasion, but slightly on the pricier side I would think for what they offer. They do have a lovely range of tea, cake and breakfast/brunch selection but nothing especially memorable. The interior reminds me of the historic Lavenham houses, which gives it a charming character, and has a superb courtyard for a sunny day, which is what won us over. We could sit and work on our laptops while soaking in the sun and the overall lovely atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit on a nice day.

Delightful setting; like a secret graden, so unexpected in the heart of a busy town. Superb food menu with delicious coffee and proper leaf tea. Lovely friendly and well-trained staff.

·

Nice enough food, without being exceptional in any way, the interior is lovely and the staff were friendly, but, despite all that, I'm in no rush to return.

Lovely staff and delicious food! I’ve been for afternoon tea and lunch and thoroughly enjoyed both. They even do children’s afternoon tea now which went down a treat!

Fantastic location. So beautiful in the morning when the sun shines through the windows..Good to put your headphones on and work. Staff are happy to let you stay as long as you'd like.Food is good, but nothing out of this world.

Beautiful building, friendly staff and choice of afternoon tea for vegans and meet eaters!

·

Quaint, traditional table service restaurant, great for breakfast, brunch or tea...and probably more. Helpful, unobtrusive staff. Not expensive either. Close to town centre. Well worth a regular visit I'd say after only my first.

Something is changed ... in a bad direction. The service is very good (like always), nice atmosphere but the food is really bad. Maybe they have a new chef or they need a new one.Eggs are disgusting.

We popped in here as we was walking past, particularly as we was talking about the old clock museum that used to be inside - curiousity got the better of us so we went in for drink and cake!It was busy inside and we had to wait a few mins to get a table but staff were welcoming albeit they seemed a bit rushed. The building and rooms are nice but also felt a lityle cramped (at least in the first room where we was). They didnt seem to be botheted that little man (2 yrs old) was with us - this can sometimes put us off going in places! In terms of cake there was about 6 options in menu and about 4 on the specials board. Wife went with choc orange and I went for a raspberry cheesecake brownie (I was intrigued as I like both cheesecake and brownie!!) It was indeed very nice...!Service felt a little rushed during our visit - bill was given to us straight after finished cake (whilst little man was licking crumbs from plate) but we hadnt actually finished our drinks.Wife reported no loo roll in toilet when she went! (A plesant way to end a review..?)All in all an OK experience.
