Yak & Yeti in Colchester

Great food, great restaurant and fantastic staff.Had a gluten free friend with us and they had a clearly marked menu and were brilliant at accomodating and recommending suitable options

4 of us had a really lovely meal here last night.I had the mixed grill , it was perfect.A wonderful taste experience .Would absolutely eat here again.Service was good and the staff were smiley and friendly.Air conditioning working well and the inside is much nicer than the outside. 10 out of 10.

We had a lovely meal. It was hot and well presented. The head waiter welcomed us and saw to our every need. I am lactose intolerant. He spoke to the chef and my meal was perfect. Thank you.

very taste lamb byirani.reasonable prices .downside was the chap whi was serving us looked as enthusiastic as a mouse in a trap. and my £6 tip was taking without a slight nod of approval. gee thanks for accepting my gratuity ..

Best curry in Essex! I absolutely love this restaurant... The flavours are so authentic and original. I have never found a bad dish on their menu! What I love is that they have vegan options for my wife, and are also super careful around her nut allergy.I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Always great service from Sunan and the team!

Now as you all should know by now, this girl loves her food!!So I wanted to try something different & that I had not had before.So Yak & Yeti it was your turn......I ordered online despite the restaurant being like a 5 min drive away, (feeling lazy & didn't want to go get dressed up etc) so I chose my starter & mains.The food was delivered within 30 minutes, it was still piping hot, bonus!!Containers they used were very good so no spillage at all.Popadoms were crispy & went nicely with the dips.As for the food, not only did it look delicious it smelt delicious as well.Then I tried it.......And O to the M to the G, it was spicy, too spicy in fact for me to continue to eat the food. My belly was grumbling & the food as I said looked delicious so I tried another forkful from the plate & yep, still too spicy.Now I did not order anything spicy at all, but it is a Nepalese restaurant & they use spices of many kinds I guess.But whatever they do use it is way too spicy for me, if I tried to continue I'd be in agony later on, as my stomach just doesn't do spicy foods.As a girl who loves her food, I'm not going to mark this restaurant down just because I can't tolerate spicy foods. In future I will notify the restaurant to not add spice above very mild to future orders.This restaurant has a very good high review online, so I do encourage you to try it out for yourselves, just bear in mind the food can be spicy.Otherwise hope you have a wonderful day!!Love as always Justine xXx StyleOutYourHome

Food was nice service was okay a bit slow on the drinks i would give it another go hopefully the service will be better

Service was fine.. very quiet when we visited. Recommended to owner to advertise clearly if meat and chicken is halal which would have enticed more pool of halal eating customers. Overall the portion size of dishes was good and we didn't have to wait long for our food from starter to main course.

I love this place! Their food was amazing, we tried so many different things. And the bread choices were phenomenal. Now I see why everyone raves about this place!
