I had the pleasure of popping in there and Sat outside. What a beautiful place to sit and have a drink and catch up with friends. It was my first time there and I would definitely go back. Its known for its fish menu and the food looked great, from what I could see. Me and the girls only popped in for a quick drink before heading into the little town. But I would definitely like to go back. The space outside was amazing with a little park for the little ones, it also had about 3 or 4 pods that you could use if you wanted the out doors but kept dry. I loved all the greenery hanging from the canopy. Look forward to visiting again, can't wait to go back to Tring.

An amazing looking pub and wonderful outside seating areas, including private booths with charging ports and BluetoothThe garden was well maintained, with a children’s play area.Disabled access was brilliant with a steady slope and hand railsThe only thing that let the experience down were the staff on the outside bar, service was certainly not with a smile. Also staff had gathered behind the bar to the left hand side and were messing about, not the service I was expecting from this kind of environment

The grand junction has a really good garden and small playground for kids. We are the in garden with beautiful England weather.however foods tasty were bad. Immediately find a new chef. I ate there the worst hamburger I have eaten. But garden is beautiful. Near river and has heater for the cold weather. Kids played playground. Playground can be much better

Stopped off for a pint or two with the with, children and the dog. Fantastic work during lockdown has been completed to bring and awesome interior to the outside. The garden is fantastic. I would give 5 stars but the tables and any rubbish needs to be cleared ASAP. We moved old plates and glasses to one table, then they got moved again. Selection of drinks is very good but no decent gin glass for my wife. First she was given a tall glass and then only managed to get a wine glass after complaining. These little things need to be improved. Not yet tasted what looked like a fantastic menu.

Great pub, keeping up the good oakman style. Location is a big plus with a nice garden and decked area.

Had early celebration of husband's birthday with daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. Booked one of the pods which was perfect for 6 -private, well placed to watch all the activity in the pub garden and on the canal, sheltered from all weathers and with great servers. Food delicious as always. Only downside is car park immediately behind pods which appears in our photos, but not in line of vision when you are sitting in the pod.

We stopped off for a quick drink and some snacks while out for a ride. Finn was superb, greeting us on arrival and expediting our food order. I wish everywhere had such efficient service. Specials board full of fresh fish dishes. Will be back.

Absolutely superb experience from start to finish. Attentive service from a great team, delicious food and a wide selection of drinks. The new outdoor area is an incredible space, this will be a definite destination for us this summer. 5 stars guys

Really lovely refurb with a great garden space and a gorgeous covered area with plenty of seating, heaters and a fire pit. It will be fab in the summer, great for all the family. Super friendly staff who were very attentive. We ordered burger and chips from the evening menu. It came fairly quickly and looked lovely. We enjoyed the food, however we both said it was very salty and have had a raging thirst since coming home. Will definitely go back and try something else, just unfortunate that we both felt the same but only mentioned it after we had walked out. Appreciate should have said something at the time, so no drama really. Worth a visit anyway!

Well where do I start! Not only was it a long wait for drinks and food to arrive when the food arrived there was no presentation, fried eggs where hard burnt and like Frisbees! chips so over cooked you could tell they had been put back in fryer to be reheated. Gammon excessively salty. Its such a shame as such a lovely garden and made the effort to put all seating and extras in place for covid restrictions. All female staff including kitchen staff obsessed with building workers standing around chatting not paying any attention to other diners to the point people came waited a significant about of time got fed up and left. Management need to keep an eye on outside staff as very unprofessional and we definitely won't be returning. At the very end of our meal while writing this review we were asked how things were to which we informed them of this and we were giving a discount on meals,as explained this is not what we were after and we were told the food isn't usually at the standard we received it and the chefs have been informed. Unfortunately too many errors for our return as a lot needs to be looked at in this restaurant not only food.
