Rising Sun pub in Dacorum

Really lovely location, by the canal and the lock. Snug little bar, good beer and the hosts have a lovely sense of humour. Go there, enjoy good company and thank me later.

Canal side boozer with a whole lot of spirit.The pub is quaint and cosy, the outside space allows for slow summer supping.It has well stocked spirit shelves with all the guns, plus some interesting rums and whisky's.The staff were nice and the public spaces were all clean and tidy.There are many pubs in Berko and a wide choice of canal side venues too, the Rising Sun makes everyone welcome, so is a must.

It's very easy to describe this pub. Selling over priced poncy lagers (that no lager drinker would touch with a bargepole), doesn't stop it being a Chav Hole. Also, please keep your knuckle dragging customers away from the lock, it's there for a reason, not to entertain the intellectually challenged.

The Best Pub In Berkhamsted, staff are great, Jake makes the place. Good service, authentic pub, friendly and enjoyable to visit.

Lovely people, location, range of beers. They offer a very nice ploughman's and nachos too so idea for lunchtime break by the canal. Highly recommended

Top pub, knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. Lucky enough to enjoy the pub on a warm summer evening and with their beer festival. Sampled the 15 local ales they had on offer. Highly recommended. Great pub, great atmosphere.

This is a good local pub. It has a really cool quirky decor, and has loads of events like Morris dancing, theatre, bring-your-own-cheese evenings and folk music, and the location alongside the canal is gorgeous, with both indoor and indoor seating and tables.They always have a good selection of local and international craft beers in cans and bottles, as well as on tap. They have a small menu of traditional and Mexican fare, and on Friday evenings there’s a lot of free food doing the rounds. It’s basic food but okay for the price.Music tends to be classic rock and soul, and is at a low enough volume that you don’t need to shout your conversation.We always pop in when we’re visiting Berkhamsted or walking along the canal.
