The Cochin in Dacorum

Amazing! A very different dining experience, the choice and selection was very good. We went as a group of work colleagues, each dish ordered was tasty and full of flavour. Highly recommended.

Very friendly staff. The food was amazing, some of the best Indian food we have ever had. The menu was well laid out with allergens listed clearly. Many gluten free options (would have to ask about coeliac accommodations but seemed promising). I have now been twice and would highly recommend!

The food is 5 star,however having visited last night my experience of this lovely little restaurant was ruined by the lighting. Last time I was there I recall low soft lighting, a romantic ambience, candles on the table. Last night was a polar opposite ,bright led ceiling lights lit up the rooms like a bright kitchen area, it felt non romantic ,cold and left me feeling like what's happened here. The staff are always lovely no problem but I can't see me returning to that lack of ambience. It was our first time out in a while which made it worse. So please please consider how the lighting is so so important to get right, create the ambience and it's amazing the difference it can make.

I would not even consider ordering at the other indian restaurants on the same street. We have been loyal customers of Cochin since it has opened. It is the most stunning south indian cuisine I have ever tasted.The food has always been of a high standard for a number of years and customer service is always a pleasure.

Absolutely Amazing! The staff are very friendly and provided excellent service. Waiting time for food was minimal while also arriving fresh and hot. Best South Indian Food I’ve had in a long time!

Me and my wife ordered 1 beef roast, 1 prawns masala, 5 Kerala Porottas & Mango lassi. The food was just awesome. Especially the Porotta & the prawns masala😋😋. The staff and the service was also really good. Planning to visit there once in every month.

No longer live in the area but as we were visiting friends nearby we took the opportunity to have a meal at the Cochin. Everything was excellent and despite being busy, the food was served piping hot and in good time. The four starters and main meals were all tasty, very well presented and the staff were attentive throughout. All in all a lovely evening in a great restaurant.

Very delicious south Indian style food! Porotta and beef roast was amazing. We had lamb biryani and non-veg thaali. Both of them were delicious. Parking available in the street. Restaurants is clean and has enough space to dine in. Good to reserve table over phone. Staff is very good and friendly. Must try! Highly recommended!

Pure Kerala Cuisine. Loved the Kallappam and Beef

Lovely authentic “Indian” food. Brings back memories of our trip to Kerala in India. Really lovely staff, very polite and a great service. Good for fish lovers. Hard to choose what we wanted as it all looked so nice. Also Kingfisher on tap 👌.
