Beautiful place, lovely people, great atmosphere and perfect cocktails. My server was Jo, she was absolutely amazing so friendly and accommodating. The owner Nick was very welcoming. What a gorgeous place to drink and dine, thank you the Gatsby, all your staff are lovely, I will be back!

Do not go here if you are disabled or have elderly parents. My disabled mother who due to surgery has severally limited bladder control, asked to use the facilities here quickly and was flat out refused. If any of you know anyone with any disabilities or have elderly parents yourself or have a reasonable sense of moral decency, I implore you not to give this restaurant your custom.

If you are person of colour or happened to stay under the tanning bed for too long don’t bother going here. Only thing you’ll be ordering at the bar is a pint full of discrimination. Might look nice inside but this place is basically a Ford Fiesta trying to pose as a Ferrari. Disgusting.

Manager is called Nick, here is a story about Nick:Decided that the one Indian guy with us in the group was the Indian guy on his pub watch. Despite being shown his ID to prove otherwise and that the image looked absolutely nothing like him, the similarity started and ended with his skin colour. When challenged he said that he has the same skin colour and stubble so is definitely the guy. Handled shockingly, intimidated our friend, refused to refund our £100 order of drinks that we abandoned in order to leave the premises. Genuinely the worst example of stereotyping / profiling I have witnessed. The owners should be ashamed, shocking, avoid this place.I wish I could give less that one star.Avoid

Upon purchasing a very large round of drinks for friends, we were all enjoying these when the owner comes out and kneels next to our Asian friend. He starts calling him Usman and saying that he's on a pub watch list, our friend showed his ID to prove this was a case of mistaken identity although the owner was insistant that he was in fact Usman even after seeing the ID, our friend was very calm in the situation but we noticed this conversation. He was embarrassed and wanted to leave so we all followed suit with over half of our drinks remaining. The owner showed no remorse and was insistant on that he was trying to do us a favour and couldn't see the issue with what he did. We were sickened, will not return while that man runs the place...

Had my wedding day at home and gatsby catered for us and helped make the day run smoothly. All the guests commented on the excellent food and how helpful the staff all were. Would recommend to anyone

This is a very nice place indeed. It's a converted 1930's cinema and has been converted with a very sympathetic touch. The staff as excellent and looked after us very well. Now to the food. Absolutely beautiful food cooked and presented perfectly. Not too flashy and just the right portion size. Price wise just what I would expect to pay for quality food, service, surroundings and atmosphere. Not cheap but not overly expensive. If I did have one negative comments it would be that it got a bit noisy at one point but it is popular and we sat next to the pianist, but it did get better. In my opinion I would highly recommend Gatsby's.

We hosted our daughters wedding at our home with The Gatsby as out caterers. Nick, Matt, Kim and their team were consummate professionals. They were attentive yet unobtrusive . The tables were beautifully laid. The food was outstanding , so that many guests commented. They were simply amazing. I can highly recommend them for an event. Thanks to all your team.

Lovely experience. 😍. The atmosphere in the place was fantastic the staff were great enthusiastic and helpful. There was animated chatter all around as people enjoyed the first tentative steps out of lockdown!!!The art deco style of the interior looked very chic. (It was a cinema)The cocktails, were great and came swiftly. I will try the food menu next time.Thoroughly recommended if you're looking for a place to go with friends. There was six of us in my group and we all enjoyed 😉 the venue. They followed the Covid protocol well and we still had a great 👍time.
