Exellent family pub in a beautiful village Chipperfield outside seating over looking the village green truly amazing food

Have been visiting this establishment for many years. Lovely place. Great staff. Well done. 4 people love the food, me well. Had pork belly and it was rater squishy. It's supposed to have a crackling rind. The shard of "crackling" was no compensation.I love you guys but don't let a triangular piece of plastic overtake your good food.

2 night stay. Lovely place. Food excellent but a little pricey, but to be expected near London. Room was pretty good. Had a little complaint about the not-so-hot water, but it's apparently as hot as it gets.Room rate with breakfast was very good, so can't expect perfection.

It was quite a comfortable place with good food. Pictures are not that good but taste was really good. Better to do booking before you go.

Beautiful location looking out onto the large green at the center of the village.We stayed over on mother's Day so the bar and restaurant were busy but they still managed to get us a table for dinner. Food was great and plenty of ales and other drinks to choose from.Our room was large although maybe looking a bit tired, but given the price it was perfectly acceptable.

Food was great. I'm lactose intolerant and they catered very well for my dietary requirements. A lovely experience the staff were very friendly and professional. We will always come here

Food was so delicious and well presented. Definitely get your money’s worth and the portions are amazing. I would really recommend going here. Zack, one of the bartenders, has amazing customer skills. Over all a really good experience, definitely coming again.

The staff and the food are brilliant. Even a power cut in the evening didn't away the staff from providing brilliant service. The location is ok for Hemel or North London. The rooms are a little dated but still nice to stay in.The issues are that the WiFi is intermittent at best, it keeps dropping out and doesn't have enough bandwidth to serve the hotel and the pub. Also an issue is the water pressure, the shower is nothing more than a trickle.I'd happily stay here again if those little things were sorted out.

Great nights stay in 4 poster bed room!! Food great. surroundings beautiful. A nice place to unwind and woods very close by for a pleasant walk. Nice village to get away from it all and recharge for a bit. Friendly staff and great service. Worth a visit!

Nice restaurant. Food was very nice and service when we went was great. Kate was our server and was very nice and professional. Some of our table got rare steak when they asked for medium which was disappointing but it was all good other than that!
