Toby Carvery in Dacorum

Got served meats and Yorkshire puddings then had to wait nearly 10 minutes for roast potatoes and some vegetables. So food quite cold. But was tasty. In hindsight should of asked for meat and Yorkshire to be replaced with fresh.

I'm quite nervous about going out for dinner because of my wheelchair but I found this restaurant to be very welcoming. The staff are very busy but efficient and friendly. The carvery was very nice but there were a few problems with the vegetables running out and not being replenished. The gammon and beef were delicious. Overall, though, it was a pleasant visit, and I enjoyed the small carvery with the giant Yorkshire pudding that I had :). I'd visit again.

Popped in today for a quick roast with my nan and grandad. It's a monthly tradition of ours. We had Sally today who was great. She gave us a lovely big smile on entry making us feel welcome. We got our drinks pronto, didn't have to wait for food. Sally was great with my daughter while I grabbed my food and Throughout our meal. If we could have Sally everytime I would drag my nan and grandad here weekly rather than monthly.Tim the Carver was also friendly and had a great sense of humour.

I'm staying in the travel lodge above this Toby carvery.I was served today by sarah and Mark very pleasant people who were busy cleaning and making sure the customers were happy and looked after.Danny was the manager and he was cheerful and making sure all the take away orders were being fulfilled... He was training some staff members to do the take away items and he was guiding them rather than demanding... I heard him giving compliments to the staff for excellent work aswell as engaging with customers like myself while they were being served... He appears to be a great choice for this type of role.The front of house was spick and spanand the food was very tasty... Beef was a little fatty for my taste but we can't hold that against them, overall an excellent meal and cheap at only £7.49😋😋😋

Not the best Toby we’ve ever been to. Turned up to a completely empty restaurant and they didn’t have much meat ready but assured us it was cooking. We moved our table 45 minutes later hoping to have some more choice but returned to find the same which was a bit annoying as we’d waited for nothing. The overall choice of veg was also poor and what was there was dried up along with stuffing. Yorkshires just disintegrated into dust. No crackling.Turkey was nice and juicy and the roast potatoes were very good. Staff were friendly.

After visiting family in the area we decided to stop for food. We were greeted at the restaurant by a member of staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. The other members of staff we also encountered on our visit were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. The food was delicious and we will definitely be returning very soon. Will 100% be trying the breakfast too.

Having visited the restaurant recently, l can’t say l wasn’t inconvenienced during my visit., l wasn’t impressed with the way staff members dealt with disappointed customers who had booked or couldn’t receive proper service the attitude was clearly, not l what l would expect from Toby staff at other restaurants I’ve been to. The only saving grace is the manageress Kelly ? She remained calm and pleasant during very awkward, situations throughout my time, at the restaurant & having worked in a fast moving environment with instant expectations. I was truly amazed at the level of professionalism the manageress showed. It’s a shame the staffing levels & most of all the attitude members of staff showed didn’t match that of the manageress

I have been to this Toby a few times lately as it has really improved. The food is hot and tasty. All the staff are helpful and friendly. The new manager seems to be really turning the place around. They also offer nhs blue light discount which is great!

Pre booking essential for Sunday lunch! We booked a table for 2 for roast at 12.50pm as all other time slots unavailable. Place was heaving. Free parking on site, just put your car reg in keypad at desk. Place was heaving!Great selection of meats..... Turkey, gammon, pork and beef. Unfortunately, no lamb available this time. Great selection of veg, potatoes, cauliflower cheese etc. Gravies and sauces. Bottomless fizzy drinks. Attentive staff. Highly recommend 👌

We had a very nice breakfast at Toby Carvery in Hemel Hempstead. We were met by a very helpful member of staff who kindly reminded us to enter our car registration number into the computer so we did not get a fine which we had forgotten to do. The breakfast itself was very nice with a good selection of food. The food was well cooked, very tasty and reasonably priced. We would definitely go back as soon as we get the chance. Many thanks.
