If you don't mind waiting whilst its cooked to order,then this is the best place In Ely for fish and chips.

Really tasty chips. Just yummy...worth travelling from March to eat them.

Very good very helpful, you wait while your order is cooked, but it is very fresh and not a long time to wait.

We got a regular size and a large size cod with regular fries and the sizes were quite generous, plenty of food for what you pay for. The flavour is quite good as well, would recommend if you are hungry or you need a quick snack

I love this place! Friendly, accommodating and delicious fish n chips. The click and collect is excellent, as is the easy to follow website. As a regular user, I would highly recommend Alan fish bar. Close to the train station too and easy to find.

Best fish and chips in Ely. Much better than The Fish House. Not too greasy and cooked to order.

The people are friendly. Fish is always nicely cooked and I'll forgive them listing mushy peas as a sauce on the menu. Hygiene seems good and I have never eaten anything from here that has been done in old or stale oil. My only quibble is that the chips are a bit floppy: maybe they need a higher temperature. Anyway, very good overall.

Best Cod and Chips I've had in years. The cod was a good size, with lovely crispy batter that wasn't too oily. The chips were outstanding - crispy and flavorsome. All were freshly cooked. Service was good too. We ate them by the river on a sunny evening. Heaven!

Regular Cod and a small chips was the perfect way to end my day in Ely. Cooked whilst you wait ensures fresh and hot. Very pleased with our food will definitely go back for more.
