Elk Coffee in East Cambridgeshire

Nice, friendly cafe with a nice menu and great coffee.The service is nice and friendly here, table service, even outside, which seemed a bit odd but I guess the way they do it. Things are a bit on the expensive side but good quality. Coffee was fine, not amazing but pretty good.Great for larger groups due to the seating outside. Excellent for summer too.

Really nice place for brunch. Bright, airy and high ceilings. Service was quick and attentive. Really enjoyed the avocado toast with salmon and capers, very flavorful so you can tell the ingredients are good quality. Chemex drip coffee and chocolate Tiffin was good as well.

I love the interior. But the taste of a coffee isnt good. The milk was overheated and the espresso was really bitter. They have some local England roasted beens from coffee officiana, they had some bland which wasn’t good. It contains American and African coffee beans, they don’t fit together.. if you wanna go for good coffee just choose something else like hot numbers or Bould brothers. I don’t wanna be mean, but the coffee was horrible. I think that in that bland is robusta, so it isn’t 100% arabica. But it dispenses which tipe of coffee do you prefere. This is more like Italian style of coffee place. But the think which I really like on this coffee place is that they use minor figures oat milk, which is, in my opinion, the best option of alternative milk for cappuccino or latte.

Nothing incredibly special and good enough, I suppose.The pancakes weren’t properly described on the menu. Quite a weird taste to them and the toppings weren’t the best. Definitely a recipe to improve.The avocado and smoked salmon was pretty big standard, no complaints there.Good environment to come and chill at. However, they don’t offer WiFi. I’m assuming that’s to keep people moving in and out ( which is fair enough).

Spacious. High ceilings and fast service. Perfect food. Nice atmosphere. 9/9.

Food was ok.But it was overpriced.I couldn't believe that an avocado toast with egg it cost 13£,and a simple porrige cost more than 7,5£ and 3 coffees and one hot chocolate 14£.The coffee wasn't hot.

Food was pretty good but the pricing was a bit excessive (£14 for one egg & 1.50 for an extra shot). Would have given 4 stars but as we were leaving the manager rather highhandedly tells us “sorry we are closed now, we have to ask you to leave” just as we were picking our stuff; very very ridiculous behaviour on his part and insensitive (he waited for the two white girls to pack up and leave and then closed the cafe). Do better!strangely enough until that moment I was resolved to make this my weekly Sunday brunch place, despite the price, but obviously not a “minority friendly place” so better go elsewhere.

Modern / hipster vibe with welcoming staffs. I really wanted to like this place but It’s shame that I just didn’t like the pancake - it’s not usual pancakes made from flour and not sweet at all - would have been nice if this was described on the menu (the menu is rather simple so would recommend to ask the staff for the details). Coffee was too sour for my taste.

With lots of outdoor and indoor seating and reasonably priced drinks, it’s a good place to come to read a book or sit with friends. Will have to try the cake menu next time

Nice cafe with tables outside but the heavy traffic makes it a bit less enjoyable. It is less noisy during the weekends when the cafe gets full, for good reasons of course! Brunch menu is a bit limited but they do a descent job on the options they serve. Coffee is good and service is quick and friendly. Overall recommended :)
