Went for my partners birthday and we definitely weren't disappointed. The service and meal were both excellent. Portions were very generous and good value. Will definitely visit again.

We tried the High Flyer for the first time at lunch this weekend with our friends, two young children and a baby. Booking was very easy, and swift, and we were so impressed with everything - we all agreed we would come back. The welcome was cheery, the pub dog is gorgeous and very gentle, and the space was light, bright and generally lovely, creating a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff are great with children too and we didn't feel like we were in anyone's way, which can happen, despite it also being a nice place for lunch for non family groups.Food was delicious and came swiftly, with a very good and varied kids menu (with all the staples though). Our friends were encouraged to collect a few bits and bobs from the carvery for their 11 month old, which was superb, and the little activities on the kids menus were very appreciated. We have been looking for a nice pub style lunch/dinner spot that caters well for families, and this is absolutely it. We will most definitely be back, a lot. Thank you!

Very different from, and much nicer than expected. A great spot for a beer, or afternoon tea. If there was one thing I'd ask them to change, it would be to have the lighting a little bit dimmer in the evenings. Really friendly staff!

Outstanding. Clean environment, good quality food, good service. Resident dog gives good cuddles. Chocolate fudge cake could have been slightly bigger, but truly truly outstanding food. Loved it and will be back. What a gem!!!!!

Had dinner with friends at the High Flyer and was lovely. Great experience from booking till we left. Food was great. Definitely a big improvement compared to our previous visits. We met chef Alessandro so we had the chance to thank him for the nice meal. We will definitely be back again.

We’ve been eating at the High Flyer for 3 months now. I just want to mention how fantastic Shannon is. She’s looked after us so well, attentive to my elderly mother who isn’t the easiest to deal with lol. She’s great with my kids, and they love her! She goes beyond everything we’ve needed, she really is the powerhouse of this restaurant, such a lovely soul! We’ll be back soon!

Just had the nicest 5 night stay with Noreen and the team at The High Flyer. I really can't say a bad thing about it. We were given the warmest welcome, a lovely room and it stayed that way throughout the week. The food is absolutely beautiful. Carvery at weekend is amazing and the slow roasted lamb was to die for. Thank you again for looking after us! Xx

Dined 31-12-2021Just had dinner at the High Flyer and had a lovely experience, from the moment of booking right up until we left. The lady who took the booking was very friendly and accomodating, especially as we called NYE asking for a table. We ate with our 2 year old twins, the food was lovely and even the boys demolished their sausages. Our waitress Mia was exceptional and definitely deserves a mention, she was attentive, happy and made the whole experience enjoyable for us and the boys. We will definitely visit again! Thank you.
