Minster Tavern in East Cambridgeshire

Great Pub, located next to the Cathedral, nicely layed out, polite staff and we went back in the evening for a meal and was also very cheap and very tasty. Definately a good place to stop.

Another lovely visit! Had a great time celebrating mother's day, was served a free glass of prosecco for my Mum. The beef was very tender and melt in the mouth! Just the spot for a Sunday roast! Thank you again 😄

First time visiting Ely and strolled upon this very friendly and cosy pub.Lovely wholesome food. Out food came promptly and piping hot. coffee was tasty too!Very clean and tidy throughout.Definitely recommend.

On the best weather day of the week we went to Ely. After walking the Eel Trail we were ready foe some food. We were not in the mood for a pizza place or similar, so after checking a few pub menus we settled on the Minster Tavern. Good pub food. My wife had beer battered cod and chips. She said the fish was really nice. I went for steak and ale pie. Again good quality food. Including drinks it cost under £20. Nice environment for lunch. Judging by the number of TV, I assume they show a lot of sport.

Stayed outskirts of Ely for a few days and we ate in this pub twice! Very nice clean pub with a great view of ely cathedral literally opposite the pub. Food was very good have been to other Stonegate pubs which I have been left disappointed. Ordered a variety of food and they came out great! Free parking no more than 10 mins walk away!

Food was fab, especially for the price. Nice and warm with cozy lighting. Very clean. First time in and would go back again. Just a cpl of things that would help. FoH could mention when seating patrons they inform them that they need to order at the bar, me and my partner sat there for about 10 to 15 minutes before finding this out. Also thought that though polite the staff came across as a little distracted as twice while ordering they went off to deal with something else.I do like the that as a dog friendly place they have an area that isn't allowed dogs, not everyone is fond of dogs or just have an outright fear of them or have allergies to them. Both me and my partner suffer from one or the other of these issues.Aside from the two small niggles I would definitely recommend for others to visit

Popped in on Saturday 11th December. It was dark and damp outside but inside it was warm, well lit yet cosy. Lovely.It is so close to the Cathedral you'd be concerned that it would be "tourist trap expensive" but fear not, it is very reasonably priced, normal pub prices and big food portions as my pics show.I had the 12 inch mac and cheese and wifey had the usual sausage and mash. Superb.It is very dog friendly with a real welcoming vibe. You immediately feel like one of the regulars and the staff treat you as such, making you feel part of the place not just a visitor.There are a lot of TVs but they were on mute and with the numerous small table set ups it's easy to avoid them.We stayed for a few hours as it filled up and then made the mistake of going to their sister pub the Hereward which isn't far away. More on that in my review for that pubUltimately the Minster Tavern is a great, central pub and well worth a visit

Quite a good pub, but with too many T.V.s. Called in for a snack. Soup and bread, very nice. Portion of chips, a little cold, but not enough to complain about. The only ale was Wherry.

Nice pub in centre of Ely with Sky Sports.Limited selection of real ales but my Hobgoblin Gold nice.Haven't eaten here but food looked nice when delivered to tables. I would call it a nice couples pub.
