Riverside Bar & Kitchen in East Cambridgeshire

Great spot for lunch. Took my wheelchair bound mother to Ely, & sitting inside by the window watching the boats, fishermen & people walking by was absolutely ideal. Efficient courteous staff, made sure we were OK, & the service was quick. Good food at a reasonable price, & the car park was only 2 minutes away. Choice of seating, inside or out.

I have given 2 stars for the food. horrible in a word. Chips were greasy, worst burger have ever had, overcooked. I noticed a few more burgers had been left by others on separate tables. Fish was soggy underneath. Everything was just greasy and over cooked. Wish I had complained really. The chef must have not been very good. Place wasn’t that busy but the setting was really nice and the service was good and fast. Shame about the food and sorry to say won’t be returning.

The staff are extremely rude. Firstly the greeting was non existent and I was just rudely asked, 'What do you want' with no reply to my friendly good morning. I then asked for a coffee at 9:30am and was told they aren't serving hot drinks. I asked why? I was told the machine was heating up. I asked how long and was abruptly told, "We don't know" Luckily another staff member quickly checked and it actually was ready! I ordered food which was overpriced (beans on toast for approx. £7.45) and when it arrived the toast was black and burnt. So bad that we had actually smelt before it came out. It was the same lady who served me at the bar and she looked at me rolled her eyes as if it was my mistake when I sent it back. What a shame as it's a beautiful location but the staff really need customer service training.

We had a nice early evening meal and sat at a table with a grand view of the river. Very good service by all the staff.

Shared a lovely lunch with my brother on a day trip to Ely.We both had the buttermilk chicken burger. It was very nice & tasty. The chips were hot and not greasy. I would definitely recommend this eatery.The prices were reasonable, staff friendly & we received good service.

Spacious sitting areas with great views of the riverside. Great for families with child menus included of the typical popular eats or just a coffee with choice of delicious cake, something for everyone with a bar too. Good toilet facilities.

Location is very pretty and the building is spacious, well-lit, and clean. Staff were courteous and we received our drinks and appetizer quickly. There is also ample free parking nearby as well.Our main meal took almost an hour to arrive. Portion sizes were good, but food was bland and barely seasoned. The dining room was very cold and all of the occupants inside kept their jackets and sweaters on because of this. We will probably give this place a second chance, but it was a bit underwhelming to be honest and the frigid dining area is off-putting.

A lovely riverside location on the Ouse. I thought the latte / chocolate cake combo for £5.50 was good value and I could keep an eye on my hire boat and passing trains. What's not to like?

I give this place ⭐️⭐️only for location, nice view with lots of outdoor seating . The food was below average for their prices and the service was not well. My son wanted to use the restroom so I have to accompany him, he didn’t finish his food yet we returned to find out that they cleared our table even though our coats and belongings was still on the table. We asked the waitress about it and they said that they will come to our table to know what’s happened but we kept waiting and nobody approached our table.My son was upset because he was still hungry. We had such a nice day at Ely yesterday but the experience at this restaurant wasn’t ok.

Rude not caring about customers staff. Average food quality does not match high prices. Windows were not washed and didn't allow to fully enjoy the view outside. Music is not loud, as some complained, but its really rubbish. I wouldn't go there again.
