Was their for a wake. The restaurant looks very nice. Their is also a marquee in the garden which was hosting a party in the evening. Their are seats outside with some under cover. Not a lot of parking but their is a car park just over the road. Disabled parking for a couple of cars and entrance from the car park for disabled people.

We took advantage of the Come Dine With Your Furry Friend offer and nobody was disappointed!!! The food was great, as was the service. My only very minor quibble is that the portion of bread that came with the mussels main course was not adequate and I would have preferred softer slices to soak up all the lovely sauce. But other than that, very glad we visited and we will definitely be returning

This is a very nice place to eat, we were unable to eat in the restaurant as we hadn't booked and it was full, but we ate in the bar area which offers the same menu. I have eaten here 4 times and the food has always been very nice especially the souffles! The only negatives for me, I felt the portion of fries and Roquefort sauce portions could have been bigger and thesteak and ale pie came out in a tin bowl with a separate bowl of mash which does not make it easy to eat as a meal.I would not hesitate to return.

Great service, and food came quickly even when they were busy.Food was very nice, starters (cheese souffle & classic salmon) where great, mains: ribeye was really flavorful, fish cake (salmon and haddock) was a little lack luster, the single fish cake though very nice wasn't really enough and the supporting veg lacked flavor, I feel the meal needed either a second fish cake or something else to fill it out.The pistachio souffle pudding was fantastic, something a little different than the standard pudding options.

This pub instantly gives off a cozy feel as you enter and although the place was very busy, we had a nice spot inside where we didn't feel jammed in. The food was gorgeous, I had the parfait to start (although every dish option on the menu sounded yummy) the duck cassoulet and the pear for desert. Would highly recommend, thanks to the boot team!

Really beautiful setting, fantastic customer service and delicious food, can’t ask for more than that. I absolutely love sticky toffee pudding and this surpassed any l have had previously.

Tasty food👍Friendly staff 👍Unfortunately waiting to order some drinks more than 10 minutes 👎 Quality tap water 👍Lol Strongbow Cider missing in a pub ,,forced" to drink a supermarket Cider brand 😂Presentation for the food on a plate very poor 👎 🍔&🍟was less than a half of the plate 🌗Good size parking 👍

A nice decent pub. Warm friendly services from staff. No separate wine list, but a separate summer drink list. The wine list is actually at the back of the paper placemats- the front being the menu. Save your embarrassment, don’t ask for a wine list, flip the paper placemat; it’s at the back.I ordered a Sunday roast at 2pm. The gravy is old and warm, roasted potatoes warm, hard and dry; which indicates the dish has been cooked and left in the heat for a while. Having said that the beef was still soft and tender. Still edible. Could imagine how it would taste when freshly cooked - perhaps if I arrived and ate earlier than 2pm. That’s why a four star. Reasonably priced.Parking - although they have 2 car parks; one at the front and one at the back; both are very small. Likely struggle to find a place to park, especially if you are not a local and not familiar with the village. All in all, I had a good experience and will visit again.Food 7/10, service 8/10, ambience 8/10, value for money 8/10.
