My friends and I really love coming here, we try to make it at least once a year. It's as welcoming as it is beautiful, and the food never disappoints! Also we get to do the rounds of dear old Ely and its many attractions! Looking forward to my next visit!

Great food, good service, very enjoyable experience

Very disappointed.Went for diner on a Sunday night. Place looked the part with nice seats, tables etc. Scallops for starters were ok, but not good value for 3 scallops on white beans, probably from a tin.My wife had a Caesar’s that was frankly the most boring I have seen, and I had a Norfolk pork chop with spinach, which sounded interesting but was watery and, overcooked and felt like it had been microwaved judging by the elastic fat around the meat.Sorry to be so critical, but honestly for a meal that we paid £90 for with tip, Poets House needs to up their game.Maybe it being Sunday was something to do with it. Guys, I’m sure you can do better.

Wonderful food and service

Very nice restaurant, good food and good service. Excellent pork belly and a good selection of wines. Not cheap, but a very good place for a fancy meal out.

Brilliant meal and great service - they came up with a 3-course vegan menu for us which was delicious. The meat-eater with us was very happy too.

Food was beautiful and good value. Overall a very pleasant dining experience. Would definitely come back again
