Visited with my partner and 3yr old. Lovely experience. Really friendly staff and great service. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. They have a decent vegan menu, which is a bonus! Pretty location beside the river with indoor and outdoor seating available.

So nice - lovely menu with a fair few vegetarian options! I would definitely recommend sitting outside when the weather is good enough - you’re right by the river and it’s got a great atmosphere!P.S. The halloumi fries are to die for 👀

We had a family meal at this lovely pub with a garden on the Cam north of Cambridge. The pub was very busy, which is always a good sign, but the staff managed to cope and looked after us very well. As a family of four we had a mixture of burgers and fish and chips, all of which was nicely prepared and very tasty. A much enjoyed outing in a very nice location.

It was my first time at this gastro pub chosen because of its location next to the river for excellent views of the Lent Bumps event. We had booked but was expecting it to be very busy so managed the expectations of service/quality. However we were very pleasantly surprised. The greeting was still swift after a slight wait and we were offer our original booking or could take a table in 5 minutes if we wanted. We opted to seat earlier and Marta saw to our drinks and food order in a very professional and informed manner, helping us with options and choices that were spot on once they’d arrived. Everything was spot on which was doubly impressive considering how busy the pub was. Marta, was always to hand and kept everyone around us, well tended and this included being able to settle up swiftly so we could view the rowing. On this point, the location is perfect with many bumps taking place just along this stretch. I have no doubts that the pub would be a wonderful destination for drinks and food either in or outdoors, well worthy of 5 stars.

We met up with friends from London here on Saturday, as it’s an half way marker for us all. It was our first time at the plough, and we wasn’t disappointed what a lovely place friendly and welcoming, we all got there for 12 lunch and didn’t leave till half five, and we could have stayed longer drinking and chatting,With the rowing teams on the river and the beautiful setting you can sit outside and eat to.Will definitely be booking again what a gem

Was completely ignored the whole time with no staff coming over to us so couldn’t tell them that the salad I had was vile. Other food was nice. Before leaving we went up to the manager to tell her that no one had been over to us and we couldn’t make eye contact with anyone to come over to us either. We said the salad was a joke and she waved us off to get it refunded. It wasn’t sincere, she just wanted us to go away. A shame because the rest of the food was nice and the pub was nice.

A few year ago I gave an honest poor review of the Plough, however we had lunch there yesterday and felt compelled to rewrite my review.Staff friendly giving excellent service - 👏Food really nice. 😋Great setting, large car park & reasonable pricing.👍

A truly fabulous pub located down by the river in Fen Ditton on the outskirts of Cambridge. The food was absolutely delicious and very filling.Staff were friendly and gave top notch customer service making sure that you're properly looked after at all times.Brilliant selection of wines and beers in a separate menu from the main dishes.Plenty of inside seating with one of the best beer gardens if you fancied a pint or 2 by the river.

Service very good, staff very polite and the food was fantastic although a very small portion for £26.50, maybe a few more mushrooms or salad at least to make the plate look a reasonable amount. Unable to attach my picture for some reason. Lovely food & venue just make sure you have plenty of money in your wallet.

If I have to choose the best beer garden with an emphasis in garden; I would undoubtedly choose The Plough. It has the best ever possible location for a pub with the river view and a truly grand area. The staff is great and the go around the area all the time although sometimes you have to cry for attention a little bit. It is not cheap though, but space comes with a price.
